How To Face The Last Days Without Fear

To say that we Christians here in America have entered a time of severe testing would be an understatement. We are, without doubt, living in the last days, and these days will be increasingly fierce.
We are witnessing the increasing deterioration of the human race.
As stated in 2 Timothy 3:2, people have become lovers of self and are utterly self-centered; lovers of money and aroused by unprecedented greed and desire for wealth; proud and arrogant, and contemptuous boasters.
They will be abusive to and disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, and profane.
They will be lovers of pleasure and vain amusements, instead of lovers of God.
They will be gods unto themselves.

The events of the sixth chapter of the Book of Revelations is unfolding right before our eyes.

"Then I (John) saw as the Lamb (Jesus Christ, the Messiah) broke open one of the seven seals, and as if in a voice of thunder I heard one of the of the four living creatures call out, Come!
And I looked, and saw there a white horse whose rider (Jesus Christ, the Messiah) carried a bow. And a crown was given Him and He rode forth conquering and to conquer. This was prophesied thousands of years before in the messianic psalm written by the sons of Korah:
"Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty One, in Your glory and Your majesty. And in Your majesty ride on triumphantly for the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness and let Your right hand guide You to tremendous things.
Your arrows are sharp; the people fall under You; Your darts pierce the hearts of the King's enemies."
Psalm 45: 1-5
As this psalm was written against the backdrop of a royal wedding, so is Christ coming to claim His honorable and unblemished Bride, His Church. And as we are seeing an increase in wickedness in every form, there is an outpouring of God's Spirit raining down like sharp arrows and piercing the hearts of the King's enemies (people who have never heard the saving message of the Gospel who are now coming to Christ) in places as diverse as China and Kuwait, the former Yugoslavia, and Iran. Those denied Christ through persecution and the threat of death are coming to Him in record numbers in Asia, in Africa, and the Middle East.
Meanwhile, people in Europe and here in America, where they are free to hear the message of the Gospel, are languishing, so blinded by selfishness and greed and/or disillusioned by the greed and selfishness promoted in our culture that their love "has waxed cold" and they cannot or will not hear and accept the simple message of Salvation, which has been tainted by the influence of secularism, as well as religious pride and legalism in the Church.

"And when He broke the second seal, I heard a second living creature say, "Come!"
And another horse came out, flaming red. And it's rider was empowered to take peace from the earth, so that men slaughtered one another; and he was given a huge sword."
From whence came this rider's empowerment? From God Himself. This rider is taking peace from the earth and rendering judgment. His horse's fiery red coat symbolizes ethnic conflict on the earth, warfare against different peoples trying to destroy each other. We are witnessing how race is being used here in America to destroy our people and our nation.
While the sword often represents famine in biblical prophesy, I think the huge sword here might also represent Islam, which conquers under the threat of death by the sword.

"When He broke open the third seal, I heard the third living creature call out, "Come and look!" An I saw and behold, a black horse, and in his hand the rider had a pair of scales.
This horse is symbolic of worldwide shortage and rationing, the foreshadowing of the One World Government.
"...but do not harm the oil or the wine!" Rev 6:6 because it will be reserved for the rich, who will become richer as the poor get poorer.

"When the Lamb broke upon the fourth seal, I heard the fourth creature call out, "Come!"
So I looked and behold, an ashy pale horse and it's rider's name was Death and Hades followed him closely. And they were given authority and power over the fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword and with famine and with pestilence and with the wild beasts of the earth."
Again, "they were given authority and power". Authority and power given to them by God. Powered on judgment.
God's judgment is coming upon the earth. We have all witnessed the shaking of the earth. As Christians, we have to be aware of what is happening right now, however, I believe what we are seeing daily is merely the "birth pangs" of the coming Tribulation.

Jesus, the Lamb of God, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the rider of the white horse, has overcome sin and death so that all who believe in Him need not be troubled or afraid of what is coming to pass. Keep your heart's focus on Him and your eyes lifted towards heaven often, for your redemption is near.
