"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice
of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first
to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them
in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord."
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

I've been thinking today
As my thoughts began to stray;
Your memory to me's worth more than gold;
As you ride upon the plain
Midst the sunshine and the rain,
You'll be rounded up within the Master's fold.
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by;
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by;
When the milling time is o'er,
And we stampede no more,
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by.
May we lift our voices high
Till the glorious by and by,
And be known by all thro' God's own brand of love;
For His property are we,
And He'll know us from afar,
And will round us up in glory by and by.
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by;
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by;
When the milling time is o'er,
And we stampede no more,
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by.
As we look upon the plain
To the cowboys who have fain
While the raging storm and lightning flashes by;
We will meet to part no more
On that happy golden shore
When we're rounded up in glory by and by.
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by;
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by;
When the milling time is o'er,
And we stampede no more,
We'll be rounded up in glory by and by.
"Cowboy's Carnival"
(1900)
C.W. Byron
As the month of July celebrates the National Day of the Cowboy, this hymn
is dedicated to all the mighty prayer warriors of the Great Plains and beyond,
who helped to tame the American West while riding herd in a saddle, and
to all those today who are known through God's own brand of love.
See y'all at round up time within the Master's glorious fold!
