He promises that as our days our strength shall be;
let us resolve that as our days our devotion shall be.
- The Treasury of David
PSALM 16
I love the Lord, because He has heard
and now hears my voice and supplication.
Because He has inclined His ear to me,
therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
The cords and sorrows of death were around me,
and the terrors of Sheol, the grave, had laid hold of me;
I suffered anguish and grief, trouble and sorrow.
Then called I upon the name of the Lord;
O Lord I beseech You, save my life and deliver me!
Gracious is the Lord and rigidly righteous;
yes, our God is merciful.
The Lord preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He helped and saved me.
Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord
has dealt bountifully with you.
"Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you
will find rest, relief and ease and refreshment
and recreation and blessed quiet for your souls."
(Matthew 11:29)
For You have delivered my life from death,
my eyes from tears, and my feet
from stumbling and falling.
I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
I believed, trusted in, relied on, and clung to my God,
and therefore have I spoken even when I said
I am greatly afflicted.
"Yes we have the same spirit of faith as he (David) who
wrote, I have believed and therefore I have spoken.
We too believe, and therefore we speak."
(II Corinthians 4:13)
I said in my haste, All men are deceitful and liars.
What shall I render to the Lord
for all His benefits towards me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation and deliverance
and call upon the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord, yes,
in the presence of all His people.
Precious, important and no light matter
in the sight of the Lord
is the death of His saints, His loving ones!
O Lord, truly I am Your servant'
I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid;
You have loosened my bonds.
I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving
and will call on the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord, yes,
in the presence of all His people,
In the courts of the Lord's house
in the midst of you, O Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord!
Hallelujah!
"Again it is said, "Rejoice, O Gentiles,
along with His own people.
And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles,
and let all the peoples praise Him!"
And further Isaiah says, There shall be a Sprout
from the Root of Jesse, He Who rises to rule over
the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles hope.
May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy
and peace in believing through the experience of
your faith, that by the power of the Holy Spirit
you may abound and be overflowing with hope."

Joshua and Caleb discuss how important it is for believers
to align their needs with the will of God for our lives.
Continuing to "Connect The Dots" of God's Word with
Oklahoma rancher and beloved Bible teacher Les Feldick.
A wake up call for believers in these uncertain days!
Judge and vindicate me, O God; plead and defend my cause against
an ungodly nation. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!
For You are the God of my strength, my Stronghold in Whom I take refuge;
why have You cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the
oppression of the enemy?
O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me;
let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling.
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy;
yes, with the lyre will I praise You, O God, my God!
Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan
over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly
for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my sad
countenance and my God.
(Psalm 43)
"The way to forget our miseries is to remember the God of our mercies.
David saw troubles coming from God's wrath and that discouraged him.
But if one trouble follows hard after another, if all seem to combine for
our ruin, let us remember they are all appointed and overruled by the Lord.
David regards the Divine favor as the fountain of all the good he looked for.
In the Savior's name let us hope and pray. One word from Him will calm
every storm, and turn midnight darkness into the light of noon, the
bitterest complaint into joyful praises.
Our believing expectation of mercy must quicken our prayers for it.
At length, David's faith came off conqueror, by encouraging him to
trust in the name of the Lord and to stay himself upon his God.
This thought enabled him to triumph over all his griefs and fears.
Let us never think that the God of our life and the Rock of our salvation
has forgotten us, if we make His mercy, truth, and power our refuge.
As the psalmist strove against his despondency, through his faith
and hope he obtained the victory.
Let us learn to check all unbelieving doubts and fears. Apply the
promise first to ourselves and then plead it to God."
-Matthew Henry's Commentary
"Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let Your glory be over all the earth."
(Psalm 57:5)
Be Thou exalted, forever and ever,
God of eternity, Ancient of Days!
Wondrous in majesty, perfect in wisdom,
Glorious in holiness, fearful in praise.
Be Thou exalted by seraphs and angels,
Be Thou exalted with harp and with song;
Saints in their anthems of rapture adore Thee,
Martyrs the loud hallelujahs prolong.
Be Thou exalted, O Son of the Highest!
Gracious Redeemer, our Savior and King!
One with the Father, co-equal in glory,
Here at Thy footstool our homage we bring.
Be Thou exalted by seraphs and angels,
Be Thou exalted with harp and with song;
Saints in their anthems of rapture adore Thee,
Martyrs the loud hallelujahs prolong.
Be Thou exalted, O Spirit eternal!
Dwell in our hearts, keep us holy within;
Lead to Thy home in life everlasting,
Open its portals and welcome us in.
Be Thou exalted by seraphs and angels,
Be Thou exalted with harp and with song;
Saints in their anthems of rapture adore Thee,
Martyrs the loud hallelujahs prolong.

👼 A clip from an episode of the classic 1960's television series,
"The Donna Reed Show" featuring the heavenly hit song reflecting
the innocence of youth and young love in the America that used to be.👼
On Monday next, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is planning on a series
of votes on the "Respect (Disrespect) For Marriage Act" .
Congress has no right under the United States Constitution to change
the definition of marriage and neither does the Supreme Court.
Legislators who formerly claimed to support traditional marriage who
are now declaring that they stand with the landmark decision made by
SCOTUS in 2015-which ignored the will of the people in over
30 states who had voted against same-sex marriage-are like those
progressive-minded Christians who claim that while they are personally
opposed to abortion, they think that it is alright for someone else to
deliberately terminate the life of an unborn child in the womb.
God views this situation very differently.
And neither He nor His Word changes.
"You shall not commit murder." (Exodus 20:13) which in
the dictionary is defined as "the premeditated, deliberate
killing of one human being by another."
If Senator Schumer succeeds in his unlawful quest to "murder"
the meaning of marriage, which God has ordained as a sacred
union between Himself, one man, and one woman, "same-sex
marriage" will be forced on the nation, and according to
Matt Staver of the Liberty Counsel, could target your
pastor, your church, and even you for your deeply held
beliefs concerning the sanctity of traditional marriage.
In further violation of the civil and Constitutional rights of
the American people, this legislation will also seek to protect
child marriages, and will open the door for legalized polygamy.
It will further establish a public policy which will protect
diabolical "transgender" child mutilations under the law.
Next to the deliberate killing of unborn children in the womb,
forcing a developing child to undergo torturous, "transgender
surgeries" is one of the most sickening forms of child abuse, and
has lead to devastating physical, mental, but especially, spiritual
repercussions in the lives of the victims forced to endure it,
often with the full consent and cooperation of their parents.
This legislation is not only being implemented to destroy
the United States of America, but is being used by Satan
through the efforts of fallen mankind, to destroy human souls.
The following sermon was given over 70 years ago by the Reverend Peter Marshall Sr.,
( 1902-1949) a Scottish-born American minister who was twice-appointed Chaplain
of the United States Senate. The subject of his sermon reflects the situation which
America is facing today: Whom will our nation choose to serve: God or Baal?
Please pray that God will change the hearts and minds of the people elected
to serve in the United States Congress, and make them see that this evil
legislation will not only destroy our nation, but, more importantly, make the
men and women in positions of authority totally aware that it is God who has
allowed them to be elected to public office, and that they will one day stand
accountable before Him regarding the decisions they make for our nation
in these uncertain and perilous times.
And, that they will be without excuse before Him.

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known,
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing,
Sing praises to His name; He forgets not His own.
Beside us to guide us , our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!
We all do extol Thee, Thou leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

"But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper,
and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment
you shall show to be in the wrong. This peace, righteousness,
security, triumph over the opposition, is the heritage of the
servants of the Lord, those in whom the ideal Servant of
the Lord is reproduced; this is the righteousness or the
vindication which they obtain from Me, this is that which
I impart to them as their justification, says the Lord."

for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered

For surely as the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden
causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so surely the Lord God
will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before
all nations, through the self-fulfilling power of His word."
(Isaiah 61: 10-11)

We would thank Thee for Thy guidance,

For our common good, dear Lord, we thank Thee,
Thou wilt ever be our shield and stay.
Praise Him, ever praise Him,
And His love proclaim;
Glory, praise and honor
Be unto His name.
We would thank Thee, gracious Father,
Life and health we still possess;
Now accept the tribute, Lord, we bring Thee.
We Thy holy name with praises bless.

Be unto His name.

Zion, rise to greet thy king!
Open wide the gates before Him!
Let the glad hosannas ring!
Haste to worship and adore Him!

Weep no more! Weep no more!
Zion, dry thy bitter tears!
Cast away all gloom and sadness,
For the Shiloh now appears,
Who shall turn thy grief into gladness!
Day has dawned! Arise! the night is o'er!
Weep no more! Weep no more!
O rejoice! O rejoice!
Christ doth come, as long foretold!
The Messiah long expected,
The Incarnate Word behold!
Though by kings of earth rejected,
Hail Him, Lord of all, with mighty voice!
O rejoice! O rejoice!
Crown Him king! Crown Him king!
His exalted name confess!
From His heavenly throne descending,
Jesus, Lord of righteousness,
Bringeth joy and peace unending!
O let heart and tongue His praises sing!
Crown Him king! Crown Him king!
Worship Him! Worship Him!
Worship at His sacred feet!
Hail the Son of God thy Savior!
Haste, thy longed for Bridegroom greet!
Come, receive His kingly favor!

Abide with me!
Fast falls the eventide;
The darkness thickens.
Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail,
And comforts flee,
Help of the helpless,
O abide with me!
Swift to its close
Ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim,
In glories pass away;
Change and decay
In all around I see;
O Thou who changest not,
Abide with me!
Not a brief glance
I beg, a passing word;
But as Thou dwell'st
With Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending,
Patient, free
Come not to sojourn,
But abide with me.
Come not in terrors,
As the King of kings,
But kind and good,
With healing in Thy wings,
Tears for all woes,
A heart for every plea,
Come, friend of sinners,
And abide with me.
Thou on my head
In early youth didst smile;
And though rebellious
And perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me,
Oft as I left Thee,
On to the close,
O Lord abide with me!
I need Thy presence
Every passing hour.
What but Thy grace
Can foil the tempter's power?
Who like Thyself
My guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine,
O abide with me!
I fear no foe
With Thee at hand to bless:
Ills have no weight,
And tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting?
Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still,
If Thou abide with me.
Hold Thou Thy cross
Before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom,
And point me to the skies;
Heav'n's morning breaks,
And earth's vain shadows flee:
In life, in death,
O Lord, abide with me!

Can you believe it's already past the middle of the month of November?
Only nine more days until Thanksgiving Day! Hooray!

November said she was very thankful
Because she had such a grand holiday.
She didn't envy another month
No matter what folks might do or say.
Not Christmas or New Year's or Fourth of July!
Not the best of December, August, or May!
"Because," said November and tossed her head,
I, you know, have Thanksgiving Day!"
"Jesus answered her, "All who drink of this water will be thirsty again.
But whoever takes a drink of the water I will give him shall never, no never,
be thirsty anymore. But the water that I will give him shall become a
spring of water welling up continually with him unto eternal life."
(John 4:13-14)
Sweet was the hour, O Lord, to Thee,
At Sychar's lonely well,
When that poor outcast heard Thee there
Thy great salvation tell.
Thither she came; but O, her heart
All filled with earthly care,
Dreamed not of Thee, nor thought to find
The Hope of Israel there.
Lord! 'twas Thy power unseen that drew
The stray one to that place,
In solitude to learn from Thee
The secrets of Thy grace.
There Jacob's erring daughter found
Those streams unknown before,
The water brooks of life that make
The weary thirst no more.
And Lord, to us, as vile as she,
Thy gracious lips have told
That mystery of love revealed
At Jacob's well of old.
In spirit, Lord, we've sat with Thee
Beside the springing well
Of life and peace-and heard Thee there
Its healing virtues tell.
Dead to the world, we dream no more
Of earthly pleasures now;
Our deep, divine unfailing spring
Of grace and glory Thou!
No hope of rest in aught beside,
No beauty, Lord we see;
And, like Samaria's daughter, seek,
And find our all in Thee.

The Story Behind The Song
"A well of water in Scripture is the symbol of grace; and our blessed Lord,
by the very same well which was given by Jacob of old to Joseph his son,
may be viewed as the true Joseph, with His branches indeed running over
the wall, namely, His love going forth, beyond the bounds of that people
to whom alone He was sent...to bless, not only this poor Samaritan woman,
but all in like manner, whose souls, like hers, athirst for the waters of life."

"The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,
who revere and worship Him with awe and each of them He delivers."
(Psalm 34:7)
Do you believe in angels?
I want to tell you that I do. I believe there are myriads and myriads
of good angels who are given charge over God's people.
Another passage says that God will give His angels charge over us
to guard us in all our ways. I tell you, I believe we need the guardianship,
the protection and the support of angels.
I am glad to know that wherever I go there's angel of God that encamps
around about me and delivers me.
There was a prophet in the Old Testament, the prophet Elisha. At a certain
time, he was in a city besieged by a large alien army that was there to take him,
to capture him. His servant went up on the roof and pointed out to him
the tremendous numbers of the opposing army, but Elisha prayed for
that young servant and said, "Lord, open this young man's eyes."
And when He opened his eyes he saw the armies of God around about the
prophet, far greater in number and infinitely greater in power than those
invading alien armies. I believe that if God could open our eyes we'd
see it's true today. Those that be with us are more than those that
be with them. We have a great unseen army on our side.
Let's be encouraged, let's take heart, let's reckon with the presence
of the Lord's angels encamping round about us to deliver us.
