Monday's Meditation: Blessed Forgiveness

"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him
and in whose spirit is no deceit."
(Psalm 32:1-2)

Embracing Forgiveness

That's a blessedness that's available to every one of us.

Do you know why its available to every one of us?

Because there's none of us that hasn't sinned.

And, in a certain sense, the fact that we are sinners

opens us up to this blessing, because God is

willing to forgive our sins.

He's willing to cover our sins.

He's willing to count no sin against us,

if we repent, if we turn to Him in faith.

There are three things the psalmist says that God will do:

He will forgive our transgressions.

He will cover our sins.

And He will not count our sins against us.

But then there's one thing God requires of us.

It says, "In whose spirit there is no deceit."

God does require from every one of us

sincerity, honesty, openness.

We do not put on a religious act,

we do not try to cover up, we do not excuse

We humbly and sincerely acknowledge that we have sinned,

that we deserve God's wrath and judgment,

that we turn from our sin, we confess it

and acknowledge it and God forgives.

Oh, let's cultivate a habit of being honest with God.

The Wisdom Of John Adams

🎂 A birthday salute with quotes from the mind of one of America's greatest patriots!🎂

2nd President of the United States of America

"We recognize no sovereign but God and no King but Jesus!"

"Our Constitution was made for only moral and religious people.
It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

"Liberty must at all hazards be supported.  We have a right to it, derived
from our Maker.  But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us,
at the expense of their ease.. their estates, their pleasure, and their blood."

"The Declaration of Independence laid the cornerstone of
human government upon the first precepts of Christianity."

"The true source of our suffering has been our timidity. We have been
afraid to think...Let us dare to read, think, speak, and write."

"As much as I converse with sages and heroes, they have very little of my love
and admiration.  I should prefer the delights of a garden to the dominion of a world."

"I fear in every elected office members will obtain an influence by noise not sense.
By meanness, not greatness.  By ignorance, not learning.  By contracted hearts,
not large souls.  There must be decency and respect."

"If conscience disapproves, the loudest applauses of the world are of little value."

"Facts are stubborn things and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations,
or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

"Do justly.  Love mercy. Walk humbly.  This is enough."

Let us with a gladsome mind,
Praise the Lord, for He is kind.

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Let us blaze His name abroad,
For of gods He is the God.

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

He with all commanding might
Filled the new made world with light.

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

He hath, with a piteous eye,
Looked upon our misery.

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

He the golden tressed sun
Caused all day his course to run.

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Th' horned moon to shine by night;
'Mid her spangled sisters bright

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

All things living He doth feed,
His full hand supplies their need.

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Let us, with a gladsome mind,
Praise the Lord, for He is kind.

His mercies aye endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

Flashback Friday: Remembering Jerry Lee Lewis (1935-2022)

One of legends of American rockabilly  Jerry Lee "The Killer" Lewis began recording
at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee in 1956. But it was not until he released his 1957
hit song, "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" that he became an overnight sensation. This
smash hit was followed by another chart topper, "Great Balls Of Fire" which I think is
his signature song!   Jerry Lee Lewis died today at his home in DeSoto County, MS.
He was 87 years old.  May he rest in eternal peace.

Ever I see them with my memory's vision

As first my eyes beheld them, years agone,

Clad all in brown, with russet shades and golden,

Stretching away into the far unknown.

Never a break to mar their sweep of grandeur,

From North to South, from East to West, the same,

Save that the East was full of purple shadows,

The West, with setting sun, was all aflame.

Never a sign of human habitation,

To show that man's dominion was begun,

The only marks, the footpaths of the Bison,

Made by herds, before their day was done.

The sky downturned, a brazen bowl above me;

And clanging with the calls of wild gray geese,

Winging their way into the distant South-land,

To 'scape the coming storms and rest in peace.

Ever the winds went whispering o'er the prairie,

Ever the grasses whispered back again;

And then the sun dipped down below the sky-line;

And stars lit just the outlines of the plain.

Wednesday's Word: Underneath The Everlasting Arms Of The Eternal God

"The eternal God is your refuge and dwelling place,
and underneath are the everlasting arms; He drove the enemy
before you and thrust them out, saying, "Destroy!"

And Israel dwells in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone in
a land of grain and new wine; yes, His heavens drop dew.

Happy are you, O Israel, and blessing is yours! Who is like you,
a people saved by the Lord, the Shield of your help, the Sword
that exults you!  Your enemies shall come fawning and cringing
and submit feigned obedience to you, and you shall
march on their high places."

Monday's Meditation: The Lord Of Time

What a profound and blessed revelation-that God has absolute control over
all the times in our lives.  God is the only one in the universe that totally controls time.
This is beautifully demonstrated in the heavenly bodies.  Countless millions and
millions of stars move around the universe with absolute precision.

Isaiah the prophet says that the Lord calls every one of them forth by name
and they are all present, not one is wanting.

The sun never rises late or sets early.  Astronomers can calculate the exact place
of every heavenly body in the remote past, in the distant future.

God has absolute control  over time and what David realized when he uttered
those words is this: that God has absolute control over the times in our lives.

 He's never late.

  He's never premature.

He has a time for every situation, every circumstance.

If we will just commit our lives totally into His hands,
we'll find that our times are in His hands.

What a relief from pressure, from strain, to know that God
has control over the time element in our lives.

Our times are in God's hands.

Rejoice In The Lord Always

Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness,
your considerateness, your forbearing spirit.
The Lord is near, He is coming soon.

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but, in every
circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, definite
requests, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

And God's peace shall be yours, that tranquil state of the soul assured
of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God,
and being content with its earthly lot of whatever that is, that peace,
which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard
over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence
and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever
is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if
there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise,
think on and weigh and take account of these things."

Unanswered Yet?

"Brethren, for this reason, in spite of all our stress and
crushing difficulties, we have been filled with comfort
and cheer about you because of your faith, the leaning of
your whole personality on God in complete trust
and confidence.  Because now we really live,
if you stand firm in the Lord."

Unanswered yet the prayer your lips have pleaded,
In agony of heart these many years?
Does faith begin to fail, is hope declining,
And think you all in vain those falling tears?
Say not the Father has not heard your prayer;
You shall have your desire, sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? tho' when you first presented
This one petition at the Father's throne,
It seemed you could not wait the time of asking,
So anxious was your heart to have it done;
If years have passed since then, do not despair,
For God will answer you sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? But you are not unheeded;
The promises of God forever stand;
To Him our days and years alike equal;
Have faith in God! It is your Lord's command.
Hold on to Jacob's angel and your prayer
Shall bring a blessing sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? Nay, do not say unanswered,
Perhaps your part is not yet wholly done,
The work began when first your prayer was uttered,
And God will finish what He has begun.
Keep incense burning at the shrine of prayer,
And glory shall descend at sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? Faith cannot be unanswered;
Her feet are firmly planted on the Rock;
Amid the wildest storms she stands undaunted,
Nor quails before the loudest thunder shock.
She knows Omnipotence has heard her prayer,
And cries, "It shall be done sometime, somewhere."

Wednesday's Word: For Zion's Sake I Will Not Hold My Peace

The spirit of Antichrist at work in the world has once again reared
its ugly head, as Australia's government recently announced a
reversal in their decision to recognize the city of Jerusalem
 as the capital of Israel.

In 2018, President Donald Trump fulfilled his promise to
not only publicly recognize the city of Jerusalem as the
capital of Israel, but, to move our U.S. Embassy there.

Donald Trump is the first President in my lifetime who has proven
to be a true friend and loyal ally to God's chosen people and nation.

The Lord told Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you,
and curse those who curse you..."
(Genesis 12:3)

Despite the persistent efforts to discredit and to destroy him,
and whether or not he will win the White House again in 2024,
I believe God will bless and honor Mr. Trump and his family for
his decision to bless and honor the nation and people of Israel.

Mr. Trump believed his recognition of Jerusalem would be a
step towards bringing peace between the Jews and the Arabs,
however, his actions unwittingly reflect the prophetic words of
Isaiah, regarding the future Messianic kingdom, when the
Lord Himself will one day rule from Jerusalem.

"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake
I will not rest until her imputed righteousness and vindication go
forth as brightness, and her salvation radiates as does a burning torch.

And the nations shall see your righteousness and vindication, not
your own, but His ascribed to you, and all the kings (world leaders)
shall behold your salvation and glory; and you shall be called
by a new name which the mouth of the Lord shall name."
(Isaiah 62:1-2)

Thank you once again to fellow Watcher-on-the-Wall,
brother Erick Stakelbeck, for this latest update.

I pray God will continue to bless him and his ministry
and for his steadfast love and support of the nation
 and people of Israel.

"The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore."

For the beauty of the earth,  For the glory of the skies,

For the love which our birth, Over and around us lies,

Lord of all, to Thee we raise, This hymn of our grateful praise.

For the wonder of each hour,  Of the day and of the night,

Hill and vale, and tree, and flower,  Sun and moon, and stars of light,

Lord of all, To Thee we raise,  This our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of human love, Brother, sister, parent, child,

Friends on earth, and friends above, For all the gentle thoughts and mild,

Lord of all, to Thee we raise,  This hymn of our grateful praise.

For Thy Church that evermore,  Lifteth holy hands above,

Offering up on every shore,  Her pure sacrifice of love,

Lord of all, to Thee we raise,  This hymn of grateful praise.

Amen.

On My Mind: For The Children's Sake

"For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together
in my mother's womb.  Your eyes saw my unformed substance
and in Your book all the days of my life were written
before they took shape, when as yet
there was none of them."
(Psalm 139:13, 16)

According to Matt Staver of the Liberty Counsel, the radical LGBTQ agenda
has progressed to the point where "therapists" enamored with body mutilation
are lying to authorities in order to permanently damage children's bodies.

Also, according to Mr. Staver, Congressional Democrats are racing to pass
the Transgender Bill of Rights, in order to further push the politically-driven
LGBTQ agenda on our precious children.  It seems to me if the Democrats
cannot murder children in the womb through abortion, they are determine
to corrupt the minds and destroy the souls of the innocent with their
evil, disgusting, unconstitutional, and totally unnecessary proposed
"transgender rights" bill H. Res. 1209.

The Democrats further seek to silence parents, pastors, doctors, and
others who disagree with them.  In his email, Mr. Staver presents the
heartbreaking story of a child named Rachel, whose doctors admittedly
lied to put her on testosterone, and then refused to take her off the
body-changing and life-threatening drug even after treatment
gave her three ischemic strokes.

Rachel is now an adult who is suffering from physical, mental,
and emotional side effects due to enduring this life-altering therapy.

My question is: What kind of parents or guardian would seek to change
a child born a female into a male through painful and often dangerous
hormonal therapy like this?   This is one of the worst forms of child
abuse and yet this is being condoned in our society today.

The pro-transgender argument is that people who believe they were
born male but are actually female and visa-versa should be allowed to
receive therapy to change their gender.  If this is the case, then why
can't hormones be used to correct the problem as need be?  If they
can change a male into a female through hormones, they can keep
a male a male and a female a female through the same kind of therapy.

"Transgender therapy" is a twisted version of hormonal therapy, a clear
aberration of medical science.  In Mary Shelly's famous novel, "Frankenstein"
we see the results of a man trying to play God by "creating" a man who
turns out to be a monster.   The moral of this classic horror story is that
whenever inferior man tries to imitate the superior Creator of human
life through unlawful and immoral scientific and medical experimentation,
the results are always disastrous.

Hollywood's incarnation of the infamous
"creature" ([played by actor Boris Karloff)
in Universal Pictures' adaptation of the
 novel, "Frankenstein"
(1931)

This said, I am hoping everyone reading this post will make an effort to
email or call their Congressional representatives in Washington DC and
tell them to vote, "NO!" on this totally unnecessary piece of legislation
which is targeting America's children.   H.Res 1209 needs to be
squashed out of existence as soon as possible.

Monday's Meditation: Come Now, Let Us Reason Together

"Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord.  Though your sins are
like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like
crimson, they shall be like wool.
If you are willing and obedient, you
shall eat the good of the land.
But if you refuse and rebel, you will
 be devoured by the sword.
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it."
(Isaiah 1:18-20)

"Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing
on it except leaves.  "May you never bear fruit again!" He said.
And immediately the tree withered."
(Matthew 21:19)

The fig tree condemned by the Lord which withered away is symbolic of
the nation of Israel, a restless and carnal nation which bore no fruit for God.
While professing an outward form of religion and ever mindful of the law
and the ordinances of it, the nation, like the fig tree, was barren, and
apart from Christ,  whom they ultimately rejected, devoid of all hope.

In many ways, the fig tree represents present day America.  We are
a nation which was founded under the Judeo-Christian principles of
the Holy Bible.   The original founding fathers and mothers,
whose names are known only to God, were ordinary people with
extraordinary faith, willing to depend on their faith in Christ
alone, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to lead them across
the treacherous waters of the Atlantic to a new land, where they
could worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, without persecution
or hindrance from the twin tyrannies of government and
organized religion, or what Christopher Columbus once
called, the "(spiritually) dead church of Europe."

In this nation's 246 years of existence we have come very far,
very fast, in our growth and economic prosperity.  There is no
other nation on this earth like the United States of America.
Yet, with every passing year,  our spiritual condition as
"one nation under God" has given way to immorality and
corruption, specifically in the high places of power, both
within our government and unfortunately, within
much of the professing Christian church.

However, as with ancient Israel, there is a remnant of
Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-led believers in America today.
Our main focus at this point is to concentrate on revival,
and I am not speaking of some kind of televised hoopla
with a popular evangelist screaming and jumping around
onstage to the cheers of an emotionally charged audience.
I am more inclined to call it a quiet revolution, using
our God given abilities and talents in
 bringing
the soul-saving message of the gospel to thousands of
lost and hurting people in this land, who are perishing
in their sins due to ignorance of the truth.

The greatest human tragedy is for a person to
die in their sins.  Jesus came to save everyone.

"For the law was given through Moses,
grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."
(John 14:6)

Your People Shall Be My People

"And Ruth said, Urge me not to leave you or turn back from following you;
for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people
shall be my people and your God my God.  Where you die I will die, and
there I will be buried.  The Lord do so to me, and more also,
if anything but death parts me from you."
(Ruth 1:16-17)

Ruth

A story from the days of the judges, when yet there was no king
ruling in Israel, the love story of Ruth exemplifies the amazing
grace and mercy of Almighty God in the midst of evil, in a
time when, "every man did what was right in his own eyes."
(Judges 21:25)

Ruth, a daughter of the land of Moab, decides to follow her
widowed mother-in-law Naomi,  who is going home to Judah,
while her sister-in-law, Orpah, another woman of Moab,
decided to go back to her homeland.

In the beautiful words of the psalmist, Ruth sought *"refuge,
and trust in the shelter of Thy wings".  Through her faith in the
Living God of Israel, she received unmerited favor in His sight.

The story of Ruth is a beautiful prophecy, the foretelling of the
heathen, or gentile world, entering into the kingdom of God.

Ruth's confession in the above passages sprang from the love
and acceptance she received from her mother-in-law, Naomi,
a woman of uncompromising and steadfast faith in the
promises of Elohim hayyim, the Living God of Israel.

Ruth married Naomi's kinsman, Boaz, and bore a son, Obed.
Obed was the father of Jesse, who was the father of David,
placing her in the human ancestry of  Yeshua Ha'Mashiach,
Jesus Christ Our Lord.

The Red Sea Place

"Your way in delivering Your people was through the sea,
and Your paths through the great waters, yet Your footsteps
were not traceable, but were obliterated."

(Psalm 77:19)

Moses Parting The Red Sea
Bill Bell/Fine Art America

Have you come to the Red Sea place in your life,

Where in spite of all you can do,

There is no way out, there is no way back,

There is no other way but through?

Then wait on the Lord with trust serene

Till the night of your fear is gone;

He will send the wind, He will heap the floods,

When He says to your soul, "Go on."

And His hand will lead you through-clear through-

Ere the watery walls roll down,

No foe can reach you, no wave can touch,

No mightiest sea can drown;

The tossing billows may rear their crests,

Their foam at your feet may break,

But over their bed you shall walk dry shod

In the path that your Lord will make.

In the morning watch, 'neath the lifted cloud,

You shall see but the Lord alone,

When He leads you on from the place of the sea

To a land you have not known;

And your fears shall pass as your foes have passed,

You shall be no more afraid;

You shall sing His praise in a better place,

A place that His hand has made.

The Sea-Poppy

A poppy grows upon the shore,

Bursts her twin cup in summer late:

Her leaves are glaucous-green and hoar,

Her petals yellow, delicate.

Oft her cousins turn her thought,

In wonder if they care that she

Is fed with spray for dew, and caught

By every gale that sweeps the sea.

She has no lovers like the red,

That dances with the noble corn:

Her blossoms on the waves are shed,

Where she stands shivering and forlorn.

I Will Walk In My Integrity

PSALM 26
A Psalm of David

Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity;
I have expectantly trusted in, leaned on, and relied on the Lord
without wavering and I shall not slide.

Examine me, O Lord, and prove me;
test my heart and mind.

For Your loving-kindness is before my eyes,
and I have walked in Your truth faithfully.

I do not sit with false persons,
nor fellowship with pretenders;

I hate the company of evildoers
and will not sit with the wicked.

I will wash my hands in innocence
and go about Your altar, O Lord,

That I may make the voice of thanksgiving heard
and may tell of all Your wondrous works.

Lord, I love the habitation of Your house and
the place where Your glory dwells.

Gather me not with sinners and sweep me not
away with them, nor my life with bloodthirsty men,

In whose hands is wickedness,
and their right hand are full of bribes,

But as for me, I will walk in my integrity;
redeem me and be merciful and gracious to me.

My foot stands on an even place;
in the congregation will I bless the Lord.

Rejoice and be glad (Matthew 5:12)

Love your enemies (Matthew 5:44)

Bless them (Romans 12:14)

Do good to them (Luke 6:27)

Pray for them (Matthew 5:44)
