Rare Blue Moon Rises Tonight

There's a moon out tonight, the second full moon of the month,
or what astronomers call, "a blue moon".

The moon, however, won't be blue in color, and as a 'micro moon'
will appear smaller than an average full moon.

However, Luna in all her celestial glory, will be a beautiful
sight to see on this last evening in the month of May.

The next "blue moon" will not occur until the year 2037.

ðŸŒ•I hope the skies are clear where you are at tonight!🌕

Where The Spirit Of The Lord Is There Is True Liberty

The Democratic-sponsored, "Reproductive Rights and Trans Rights Bill" SS260
passed last week in the NJ Senate 23-12 along party lines. Two Democrats
and two Republicans were absent, while one Republican member abstained.

As the New Jersey Monitor reports, "The bill would create a new crime of
interfering with reproductive healthcare services and expand the definition of
those services to include healthcare for trans patients, building on existing laws
designed to shield abortion clinics, staff, volunteers, and patients from violence
and harassment. Advocates said additional protections are needed given the
Trump Administration's efforts to curtail these services."

However, a statement released the same day by the NJ Republican Caucus states:

"This bill is dangerously vague, unfairly subjective, and represents a direct threat to
the constitutional protections guaranteed under the First Amendment. No one should
face criminal punishment because another person subjectively interprets words, opinions,
or political viewpoints as emotionally distressing. The bill's broad language creates a
chilling effect on public discourse and opens the door to government overreach.

Free speech is one of the foundational rights upon which this nation was built,
especially speech that may be unpopular, controversial, or offensive to some.
Once government is empowered to criminalize expression based on emotional
reaction rather than clear criminal conduct, every citizen's right are at risk.
New Jersey residents expect lawmakers to focus on the cost of living,
public safety, and improving quality of life, not advancing legislation
 that undermines constitutional freedoms."

This new law also violates the rights of citizens as guaranteed under
the New Jersey State Constitution: Article 1:4 clearly states: "Every
person may freely speak, write, and publish his sentiments on all
subjects, being responsible for the abuse of that right. No law shall
be passed to restrain or abridge the liberty of speech or of the press."

Although the primary sponsors of this legislation claim that it is
necessary to protect doctors as well as patients seeking to have an
abortion or a trans-surgery from being threatened by  protesters
blocking the entrances or restraining someone from entering a
facility which performs these procedures, the total number of
abortions has significantly increased in our state every year
since the overturning of Roe vs. Wade in 2022.

"Since the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, New Jersey lawmakers have codified abortion
rights and enacted other protections for both patients and providers,"  reports the Philly Voice
in an article published in January, 2026. This included passing a "shield law" to prevent
states that ban or restrict the procedure from holding out-of-state patients
and their New Jersey-based providers criminally or civilly liable for abortions.

Marie Tasy of New Jersey Right to Life claims that abortion is rising in New Jersey,
because "the state keeps pouring hundreds of millions of taxpayer money into providers that
perform abortions, while targeting pregnancy-resource centers that offer women real choices.
The surge in abortions here are a tragic reminder that our policies aren't just wrong,
they're perverse, she added. It's a number to be mourned, not celebrated."

Her statement regarding the state targeting pregnancy centers brings to mind the
current New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport, who is continuing what
seems to be a personal and vindictive crusade against a faith-based, pregnancy
resource center in New Jersey.

Despite a recent Supreme Court ruling in the center's favor over the state's violation
of their First Amendment rights, First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center
is still being unduly harassed by AG Davenport.

As Alliance Defending Freedom reports:  "For more than two years, New Jersey state
officials have targeted First Choice simply because they dislike its pro-life views."

First Choice offers women facing an unplanned pregnancy the very best of care,
no-cost health services, including ultrasounds, as well as compassionate, non-judgmental
counseling and education classes.  They want their clients to know and to understand
that they have an alternative choice to abortion, and can make an informed choice
in the best interests for themselves and their unborn child.  While the State of
New Jersey has failed miserably in protecting women and children, First Choice,
and other faith-based pregnancy centers here, are making life better for all
concerned, including the offer of counseling to perspective fathers-to-be!

This leads me back to consider the above clause regarding freedom
of speech in New Jersey, and in particular, the words that declare
that it is a citizen's duty in "being responsible for the abuse of
that right."  Does A.G. Davenport even know what this means?

NJ Constitution Art. VII Sect:1 Para:1 states: "Every State officer before taking office
must take and subscribe an oath or affirmation to support the Constitution of this State
and of the United States and to perform the duties of his (or her) office faithfully,
impartially, and justly to the best of his (or her) ability."

Unfortunately, protecting freedom of speech in New Jersey now seems irrelevant
to many of our elected officials in Trenton, as does the need for impartiality, in
what is now designated as an "abortion and trans refugee sanctuary state".

Satan is not only a master deceiver, but, one of his greatest weapons
is appealing to fallen human beings through their emotions.

Scripture tells us that he appears as an "angel of light". However, not everything
Satan does is bad or makes bad things happen. At least, not at first. Sometimes, he
can initiate something which appears to be good and beneficial, or serves to
"enlighten" the minds of people into thinking they are doing something good
for others or for the benefit of society.  But it is all a big lie.

The Lord Jesus Christ warned us about the nature of Satan.

"He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth because
there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural
to him, for he himself is a liar and the father of lies and all that is false."
(John 8:44)

As the god of this world, Satan knows he is running out of time. He knows that
he will not be able to stop the plans and purposes of God, so he is concentrating
all his efforts on destroying God’s greatest creation, mankind, through lies and
deceptions, and especially, the kind which prey on human emotions.

If he can convince people to believe that an unborn baby is not really a human being,
created in the very likeness and image of God Himself, and that aborting an unborn child
is the mother's right, or, that someone who identifies as trans-gender was not born
the sex which God made them, or entice those holding political office to believe that
they are above the laws of both God and man, and can misuse their authority to
pass legislation which protects the guilty, while punishing the innocent, then
they have succeeded in giving Satan what he truly craves, allegiance and worship.

And in turn, as the Lord warned us, the enemy, who has been a murderer
from the very beginning, will ultimately target their souls for destruction.

Fortunately, there is still hope in this lost and fallen world if people
choose to place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

"But, when anyone turns in repentance to the Lord, the veil is
stripped off and taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit and where
the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, emancipation from bondage."
(2 Corinthians 3:16-17)

Saturday Poetry Corner: Yesterday, Today, And Tomorrow

Yesterday's dead, tomorrow's unborn,

So there's nothing to fear and nothing to mourn,

For all that is past and all that has been

Can never return to be lived once again...

And what lies ahead or the things that will be

Are still in God's hands, so it is not up to me.

To live in the future that is God's great unknown,

For the past and the present God claims for His own...

All I need to do is to live for today

And trust God to show me the truth and the way.

For it's only the memory of things that have been

And expecting tomorrow to bring trouble again

That fills my today, which God wants to bless,

With uncertain fears and borrowed distress...

For all I need live for is this one little minute,

For life's here and now and eternity's in it.

Flashback Friday: Everything Is Beautiful

A departure from the many zany songs often sang by the great American country
music singer-songwriter/comedian Ray Stevens, the uplifting, "Everything Is Beautiful"
reached the Number #1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week on May 27, 1970.

The children heard singing, "Jesus Loves The Little Children" in the beginning,
and throughout the song included Ray's two daughters, Suzi and Timi, and
the choir from the Oak Hill Elementary School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ray Stevens won the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his beautiful song
at the 1971 Grammy Awards.  A well deserved honor for a talented entertainer!

Piltdown Man: 40 Years Of Government-Approved Gaslighting

"You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice lusts and
gratify your desires, which are characteristic of your father. He was a
murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth because there
is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural

(John 8:44)

In this episode of FORGOTTEN HISTORY, host Mike Droberg presents the bizarre
story of the Piltdown Man, once promoted to be the "missing link" between man and ape.

For 40 years, the discovery of this mysterious creature was taught in school textbooks,
backed by the British Museum, and defended by the scientific elite. But it was all a lie.

It is remembered as one of the biggest and embarrassing scientific frauds
ever exposed and its effects still resonate in our world today.

Today With Paul Wilbur: UFOs, Aliens & The Bible

"But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time
of the end. Many will roam to and fro, knowledge will increase."
(Daniel 12:4)

"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.
These things must happen, but the end is still to come."

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be
apparent to all. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus."

Arlene And Patty Celebrate Springtime With Asparagus And Strawberries!

The historic town of Mullica Hill, New Jersey recently celebrated springtime
with their annual Asparagus Festival, honoring the harvest of this traditional
crop grown on area farms and throughout the Garden State for many years.

The festive occasion also commemorated the 104th anniversary of the first
commercial air shipment of produce-which included 800 lbs. of locally grown
asparagus-from Mullica Hill to Boston, Massachusetts on May 17, 1922.

I can remember as a little girl finding patches of wild asparagus growing
in the meadows surrounding my home- along with wild strawberries!

While I never ate the wild version of asparagus, I always look forward to
buying this healthy and delicious spring vegetable fresh from the field, along
with luscious Jersey strawberries every season at my local farm market!

Wednesday's Word: Rachum/Mercy

 "Seek the LORD while He may be found;

call on Him while He is near.

Let the wicked man forsake his way

and the unrighteous man his thoughts;

let him return to the LORD,

that He may have compassion,

and to our God,

for He will freely pardon."

(Isaiah 55:6-7)

"For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more."
(Hebrews 8:12)

THE PROMISE OF MERCY

There are some things which God cannot do.

Though it is true He is Omnipotent, yet there are some things He cannot do.  God cannot lie.
He cannot forsake His people. He cannot disown His covenant; and this is one of the things
it might be thought He could not do, that is, forget.  Is it impossible for God to forget?

We finite creatures suffer many things to slip, but can the Almighty ever do so?

That God who counteth the stars and calleth them all by their names, who knoweth how
many animalculae there are in the mighty ocean-who notices every grain of dust that floats
in the summer air, and is acquainted with every leaf of the forest, can He cease to remember?
Perhaps we may answer, "No."  Not as to the absolute face of the committal of the deed;
but there are senses in which the expression is entirely accurate.

In what sense are we to understand God's forgetfulness of our sins?

First of all, He will not exact punishment for them when we come before
His judgment bar at last. The Christian will have many accusers.

The devil will come and say, "That man is a great sinner."

"I don't remember it," says God.

"That man rebelled against Thee and cursed Thee," says the accuser.

"I do not remember it," says God,  for I have said I will not remember his sins."

Conscience says, "Ah, but Lord, it is true, I did sin against Thee and that most grievously.

"I do not remember it," says God, "I said, I will not remember his sins."

Let all the demons of the pit clamour in God's ear, and let them vehemently shout out
a list of our sins; we may stand boldly forth at that great day and sing,

"Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?"

for God does not even remember their sin.  The Judge does not remember it, and who then
shall punish?  Unrighteous as we were; wicked as we have been; yet He has forgotten it all.

He says, "I will cast thy sins into the depths of the sea," not into the shallows were they
might be fished up again, but into the depths of the sea, where Satan himself cannot find them.

There are no such things as sins recorded against God's people. Christ has so taken
them away, that sin becomes a nonentity to Christians-it is all gone,
and through Jesus' blood they are clean.

-Charles Haddon Spurgeon

The finest tribute we can pay

Unto our hero dead today,

Is not a rose wreath, white and red,

In memory of the blood they shed;

It is to stand beside each mound,

Each couch of consecrated ground,

And pledge ourselves as warriors true

Unto the work they died to do.

In God's valleys where they lie

At rest, beneath the open sky,

Triumphant now o'er every foe,

As living tributes let us go.

No wreath of rose or immortelles

or spoken word or toiling bells

Will do today, unless we give

Our pledge that liberty shall live.

Our hearts must be the roses red

We place above our hero dead;

Today beside their graves we must

Renew allegiance to their trust;

Must bare our heads and humbly say

We hold the Flag as dear as they,

And stand, as once they stood, to die

To keep the Stars and Stripes on high.

The finest tribute we can pay

Unto our hero dead today

Is not of speech or roses red,

But living, throbbing hearts instead.

That shall renew the pledge they sealed

With death upon the battlefield.

That freedom's flag shall bear no stain

And free men wear no tyrant's chain.

Great King Of Nations, Hear Our Prayer

"We do hereby dedicate this Land and ourselves, to reach the People within these shores
with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with
these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth.

May this Covenant of Declaration remain to all generations, as long as this earth
remains, and may this Land, along with England, be Evangelist to the World.

May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those
who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant and in this most noble work

Great King of nations, hear our prayer,

While at Thy feet we fall,

And humbly with united cry

To thee for mercy call;

The guilt is ours, but grace is Thine,

O turn us not away;

But hear us from Thy lofty throne,

And help us when we pray.

Our fathers' sins were manifold,

And ours are no less we own,

Yet wondrously from age to age

Thy goodness has been shown;

When dangers, like a stormy sea,

beset our country round,

To Thee we looked, to Thee we cried,

And help in Thee we found.

With one consent we meekly bow

Beneath Thy chastening hand,

And, pouring forth confession meet,

Mourn with our mourning land;

With pitying eye behold our need,

As thus we lift our prayer;

Correct us with Thy judgments, Lord,

Then let Thy mercy spare.
