In this exciting mystery-comedy, which first aired on
January 11th, 1976, would-be inventor, Alvin Fernald's little
sister, Daffy, loses her brother's toy rocket in a storm drain,
and climbs into the dark tunnel beneath the street to search for it.
Later, while making her way out of the tunnel, she crosses paths
with a gun-toting stranger, but afterwards, no one believes her story.
This family-friendly production features 1970's child stars Eric Shea as Alvin,
Kim Richards as his sister, Daffy, and Clay O'Brien as Alvin's pal, Shoie, plus, veteran
television actors Ted Gehring as Officer Jim Moody, Ronnie Schell, as Deputy Scruff,
Jacob "Jack" Kruschen as Professor Abner Debney, John Colicos as carnival
magician, Moroni, Richard Bakalyan as Ernie Nelson, and beautiful, future
"Charlie's Angels" star, Jacklyn Smith, as the children's neighbor, Cathy Martin.
With a cameo appearance by the runaway Wangdoodle on the Midway!
