On Monday next, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is planning on a series
of votes on the "Respect (Disrespect) For Marriage Act" .
Congress has no right under the United States Constitution to change
the definition of marriage and neither does the Supreme Court.
Legislators who formerly claimed to support traditional marriage who
are now declaring that they stand with the landmark decision made by
SCOTUS in 2015-which ignored the will of the people in over
30 states who had voted against same-sex marriage-are like those
progressive-minded Christians who claim that while they are personally
opposed to abortion, they think that it is alright for someone else to
deliberately terminate the life of an unborn child in the womb.
God views this situation very differently.
And neither He nor His Word changes.
"You shall not commit murder." (Exodus 20:13) which in
the dictionary is defined as "the premeditated, deliberate
killing of one human being by another."
If Senator Schumer succeeds in his unlawful quest to "murder"
the meaning of marriage, which God has ordained as a sacred
union between Himself, one man, and one woman, "same-sex
marriage" will be forced on the nation, and according to
Matt Staver of the Liberty Counsel, could target your
pastor, your church, and even you for your deeply held
beliefs concerning the sanctity of traditional marriage.
In further violation of the civil and Constitutional rights of
the American people, this legislation will also seek to protect
child marriages, and will open the door for legalized polygamy.
It will further establish a public policy which will protect
diabolical "transgender" child mutilations under the law.
Next to the deliberate killing of unborn children in the womb,
forcing a developing child to undergo torturous, "transgender
surgeries" is one of the most sickening forms of child abuse, and
has lead to devastating physical, mental, but especially, spiritual
repercussions in the lives of the victims forced to endure it,
often with the full consent and cooperation of their parents.
This legislation is not only being implemented to destroy
the United States of America, but is being used by Satan
through the efforts of fallen mankind, to destroy human souls.
The following sermon was given over 70 years ago by the Reverend Peter Marshall Sr.,
( 1902-1949) a Scottish-born American minister who was twice-appointed Chaplain
of the United States Senate. The subject of his sermon reflects the situation which
America is facing today: Whom will our nation choose to serve: God or Baal?
Please pray that God will change the hearts and minds of the people elected
to serve in the United States Congress, and make them see that this evil
legislation will not only destroy our nation, but, more importantly, make the
men and women in positions of authority totally aware that it is God who has
allowed them to be elected to public office, and that they will one day stand
accountable before Him regarding the decisions they make for our nation
in these uncertain and perilous times.
And, that they will be without excuse before Him.
