A headline in the ever groundbreaking New York Times has declared
"White Evangelical Resistance Is Obstacle In Vaccination Effort". Seriously, folks?
It seems that the newspaper, which for many years now has promoted itself
as "All The News That's Fit To Print" is claiming that "white evangelical
adults in the U.S. do not intend to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
Tenets of faith and mistrust of science play a role, so does politics."
A recent article by Times writers Elisabeth Dias and Ruth Graham cites
an evangelical Christian woman from Oklahoma who says she will not get
the Covid-19 vaccination due to her concerns that the vaccines contain
"aborted fetal tissue". Another quote from a nondenominational minister
in Washington state declares that God is the ultimate Savior and Deliverer
of His people and that "The vaccine is not the Savior." They also mention
a Christian nutritionist from Texas who said she did not need the vaccine
because God designed the body to heal itself, if given the right nutrients.
She went on to say that, "It would be God's will if I am here or if I am not here."
The Times article than suggests: "The deeply held spiritual convictions or
counterfactual arguments may vary. But across white evangelical America,
reasons not to get vaccinated have spread as quickly as the virus that public
health officials are hoping to overcome through herd immunity."
The three people quoted above are indeed of strong Christian faith
and are entitled to hold any beliefs that they want.
Furthermore, these vaccinations were rushed to completion
through political pressure, and although people from all
walks of life, including both the religious and non-religious,
white or Caucasian, Black, Hispanic, Asian, etc.
are lining up in droves to take them, does anyone
really know what these shots are made from?
What about the vaccination from Astra Zeneca which was released
and later recalled in several European nations after it was
linked to cardiac-related deaths?
Christians have every right to be concerned
and to express their deeply held religious beliefs
without permission from the fear-mongering,
racial pot-stirring New York Times or anyone else.
Up until recently, we Americans had a Constitution in this nation where even
public health officials who hope to overcome a virus through herd immunity
as well as the news media use to adhere to, especially in regards to
respecting the First Amendment rights of American citizens,
which guarantee freedom of speech and worship.
It seems this is not the case anymore.
Christians are being silenced on social
media platforms almost on a daily basis now.
Why is the New York Times picking on white evangelicals for their reluctance
in taking a vaccination shot? Oh, wait a minute now, I remember!
Wasn't it predominately white evangelicals, or Bible-believing Christians
in this nation who were mainly responsible for putting Donald Trump
in the White House in 2016?
As our recently deposed president liked to remind us, "It's not
me their after, it's you." He was absolutely right.
We who believe in and adhere to the Word of the Living God are now considered
Public Enemy #1 by the political Left, and this century's passel of Julius Streichers
in charge of mainstream media propaganda.
And who, you might be asking, was Julius Streicher?
Herr Streicher was a member of the Nazi Party during WWII,
a regional leader of Franconia and a member of the Reichstag,
the national legislature.
He was also the founder and publisher of Der Sturmer (The Storm)
which was not only a virulent, antisemitic newspaper in Germany,
but the central propaganda tool used by the Nazis,
which they also deemed, "All The News Fit To Print"
and utilized to falsely accuse, persecute, and put to death
millions of Jews across Europe, as well as countless others
who stood in defiance of the evil regime called The Third Reich.
Streicher was very successful and his newspaper made him a multimillionaire,
and yet, all his money and high-ranking position could not save him from being
sentenced to the gallows at the Nuremberg trials after the war.
Although he never physically committed murder, his poison pen
was responsible for inciting crimes against humanity and genocide
across Germany and Europe. His hateful "suggestions" sent millions
of innocent men, women, and children to their deaths in concentration camps.
Today places like Auschwitz remain standing, not only to remind the world
of the evil which human beings are capable of, but also as silent testimony to
men like Julius Streicher, a purveyor of murder and death, through
the promotion of "suggestions" as truth while maintaining the lie.
"You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will
to practice the lusts and gratify the desires which are
characteristic of your father. He was a murderer from
the beginning and does not stand in truth, because
there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood,
he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar
himself, and the father of lies and all that is false."
