"O hushed
October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
October's Bright Blue Skies
Minnesota
Minnesota
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away."

Than pumpkins in the Fall?
And when you see a field of them,
Why that's the best of all!

"Cast your care upon the Lord,
Who will give you support.
God will never allow
the righteous to stumble."
Psalm 55:23
Snow Geese Against The Sunset
A flock of geese soars by,
Seeking a warmer place;
Trees shed their Summer coats
And leave an empty space.
The blossom's petals fall,
To scatter on the ground
Long days will shorten soon-
And nowhere will be found
A trace of Summer's past
When all the world was green
And flowers filled the hills
As far as could be seen.
Now Fall will paint the earth
A warm and brilliant hue,
And the world will give birth
To another season new-
And so the seasons pass,
In a comforting cyclic way,
Each season a time for joy
And gratitude for every day.
"Season of Gratitude"

"For a sun and shield
is the Lord God,
bestowing all grace
and glory.
The Lord
withholds no good thing
from those who walk
without reproach."
Psalm 84:12
Oh, beautiful for spacious skies
And hearts that beat so free;
For purple mountain majesty
And love of family.
Oh, beautiful for ones who dream
And hills that never fade;
For hands that toil
and eyes that see
A country freedom made.
Oh, beautiful for fields of green
And souls of brotherhood-
For vastness of this special land
And grace and pride and good.
Oh, beautiful for sun and seas
That ever move and shine.
Be overjoyed and say the words-
Thank God for things so fine.

Autumn On The Prairie
Flint Hills, Kansas
"They speak of the splendor
of Your majestic glory,
tell of Your wonderful deeds."
Psalm 145:5
There's a rustling in walking
And a spryness in the step
At this turning of the seasons,
When the leaves are gold and red.
There's a crispness in the airwaves
And an apple butter scent,
Since Autumn flaunts its beauty
Now that Summer days are spent.
There's a mellowness pervading
That was absent days ago,
And a shriller note is sounded
In the calling of the crow.
The golden moon's more golden
The pumpkins have an orangey glow.
Autumn's curtain has been opened;
Autumn's putting on its show.
