America Why I Love Her-John Wayne

John "Duke" Wayne

One of America's most beloved icons, the one and only
John "Duke" Wayne, is coming under attack by the
21st century Thought Police for alleged making derogatory
remarks about blacks and homosexuals during an interview
with Playboy Magazine nearly 50 years ago...his
detractors are now calling for his name to be removed
from an airport in Orange County, California.

We have all said and done things we regret.  But
the fact remains that Mr. Wayne is dead and therefore
cannot defend his words or explain why he said what he
did in the first place.  I do not believe this man was a racist.
I further believe that this attack on him is less about what
he said and a whole lot more about demonizing a famous
white man with politically conservative leanings.

Had Mr. Wayne been a non-white, hardcore liberal, and a
lifelong Democrat, blaming the white race for all the
wrongs committed throughout our national history, this
"professed outrage"  as reported by CNN and other
media outlets would not be happening right now.

John Wayne grew up in an America far different from today.
He was part of the golden age of the Hollywood film industry.
He starred in many great films which are now considered American
classics, war dramas like the "Flying Tigers" and "The Longest Day"
gritty westerns like "The Searchers" and "Stagecoach"
and one of my all time favorite movies,
the old-fashioned Irish romance, "The Quiet Man".

Furthermore, unlike the slime pit of appalling human
and spiritual wickedness which defines much of the
  entertainment industry and Hollywood today,
John Wayne shared an unabashed love and patriotism
with many Americans for the country he called home.
I think if he were alive today he would not only be shocked and angry
about the political and social climate of this nation, but he would also
be an ardent supporter of President Trump and his initiative to
 "Make America Great Again".

May he rest in peace.

I hope that the officials at the John Wayne Airport
will stand their ground and refuse to knuckle under to
the ridiculous and pathetic demands of the
duplicitous news media and 21st century Thought Police.

Please protect the memory of America's beloved Duke!
