Dr. Todd Baker answers the question:
Is God all powerful?
"Godly womanhood...the very phrase sounds strange in our ears.
We never hear it now. We hear about every other type of women:
beautiful women, smart women, sophisticated women, career women,
talented women, divorced women. But so seldom do we hear of godly women-
or of a godly man either, for that matter.
We believe women come to fulfilling their God-given function in the home than
anyplace else. It is a much nobler thing to be a good wife than to be Miss America.
It is a greater achievement to establish a Christian home than it is to produce a
second-rate novel filled with filth. It is a far, far better thing in the realms of morals
to be old-fashioned, then to be ultra-modern.
The world has enough women who know how to be smart. It needs women who
are willing to be simple. The world has enough women who know how to be brilliant.
It needs some who will be brave. The world has enough women who are popular.
It needs more who are pure. We need women, and men, too, who would
rather be morally right than socially correct."

Faith of our mothers, living still
In cradle song and bedtime prayer;
In nursey lore and fireside love,
Thy presence still pervades the air:
Faith of our mothers, living faith!
We will be true to thee till death.
Faith of our mothers, loving faith,
Fount of our childhood's trust and grace,
Oh, may thy consecration prove
Source of a finer, nobler race;
Faith of our mothers, loving faith,
We will be true to thee till death.
Faith of our mothers, guiding faith,
For youthful longing, youthful doubt,
How blurred our vision, blind our way,
Thy providential care without:
Faith of our mothers, guiding faith,
We will be true to thee till death.
Faith of our mother, Christian faith,
Is truth beyond our stumbling creeds,
Still serve the home and save the Church,
And breathe thy spirit through our deeds:
Faith of our mothers, Christian faith!
We will be true to thee till death.
I think when I read that sweet story of old,
I wish His hands had been placed on my head,
That His arms had been thrown around me,
And that I might have seen His kind look when He said,
"Let the little ones come unto Me."
Yet still to His footstool in prayer I may go,
And ask for a share in His love:
And if I thus earnestly seek Him below,
I shall see Him and hear Him above.
But thousands and thousands who wander and fall,
Never heard of that heavenly home;
I wish they could know there is room for them all,
And that Jesus has bid them to come.
In that beautiful place He has gone to prepare
For all who are washed and forgiven;
And many dear children shall be with Him there,
For "of such is the kingdom of heaven."
I long for the joy of that glorious time,
The sweetest and brightest and best,
When the dear little children of every clime
Shall crowd to His arms and be blest.

The Story Behind The Song
In Her Own Words
"Having been recalled home, I went one day on some missionary business
to the little town of Wellington, five miles from Taunton, in a stagecoach.
It was a beautiful spring morning; it was an hour's ride, and there was no
other inside passenger. On the back of an old envelope I wrote in pencil
the first two of the verses now so well known, in order to teach the tune
to the village school supported by my step-mother, and which it was my
province to visit. The third verse was added afterward
to make it a missionary hymn.
My father superintended the Sunday School in which we taught, and
used to let the children choose their first hymn. One Sunday the children
started their new hymn. My father turned to his younger daughters
and said, "Where did that come from? I never heard it before."
"Oh, Jemima made it," they replied. Next day he asked for a copy, and
sent it, without my knowledge, to "The Sunday School Teachers' Magazine".
But for this it would probably never appeared in print."
In regards to her composition, Mrs. Luke added, "It was a little inspiration from
above, and not "in me" for I have never written other verses worthy of preservation."

An interesting discussion on the gift of Prophecy.
Is it still relevant in our world today?
A special prophetic message for our times from beloved
brother in the Lord and Christian apologist Dave Hunt.
"Why art thou downcast, O my soul?
And why art thou disquieted within me?
Hope thou in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
Who is the health of my countenance,
and my God."
(Psalm 42:11)
In this classic teaching Oklahoma Bible teacher and
beloved brother in the Lord Les Feldick reveals how the
Holy Spirit is Himself the seal of promise within every
believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In this classic presentation, Hebrew Christian Bible teacher Zola Levitt

Covid-19 has been used to destroy our nation and to rob the American people
of their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as guaranteed to
them through the United States Constitution.
Joe Biden's unlawful mandates are clear violations of the 1st and 4th Amendment
rights of every American citizen. This mentally deficient usurper-in-chief has,
from Day One, ruled exclusively by executive order, and has basically told
concerned Americans to go to hell.
Although I have said this for many years now, we are no longer a free nation
and people. What we have at this crucial moment in time is a semblance, or
the outward appearance of freedom, when the reality is a far different
and increasingly dangerous situation.
The evil entity in place of the federal government, along with Big Tech, the
medical industry, and perhaps worst of all culprits, the thoroughly despicable
mainstream news media, have ruined countless lives through a coordinated
and deliberate campaign of instilling fear and confusion, and by counting
on the general ignorance of many of the people.
I have long felt that if more Americans read and studied our Constitution,
perhaps this whole sham crisis would not have happened in the first place.
I often feel the same way about those professing to be followers of
Jesus Christ in this nation. If more Christians not only read, but studied
the Word of God, or put as much emphasis on carrying the Bible as they do
their cell phones, perhaps the witness for Christ would be a stronger influence
than the increasing affects of apostasy within the Church and our nation today.
Unfortunately, the political Left's long professed mantra of "Never
allowing a crisis to go to waste" seems to have finally worked in their favor.
Within two short years, a majority of the American people have willingly
surrendered themselves and their freedom to the dictates of a
Marxist State through the wearing of a mask.
While I know there are some members of our Congress and others
in Washington who are true public servants actively working on behalf
of the American people their number has significantly dwindled over the years.
However, I do not put my faith in man or human institutions. My faith
rests in Jesus Christ alone who brought America into being primarily
through the humble, Berean-like faith of our pilgrim ancestors.
My most fervent prayer these days is that like the evil Haman in the story
of Queen Esther, this so-called "government" currently in power over us
will implode on itself and fall by their own wicked schemes, and America
will recover to become a great, and hopefully wiser, nation once again.
I believe with God in the details, all things are possible.

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy wounded side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure;
Save from wrath and make me pure.
Not the labor of my hands
Can fulfill Thy law's demands
Could my zeal no respite know
Could my tears forever flow,
All for sin could not atone;
Thou must save, and Thou alone.
Nothing in my hand I bring,
Simply to the cross I cling;
Naked, come to Thee for dress;
Helpless look to Thee for grace;
Foul, I to the fountain fly;
Wash me, Savior, or I die.
While I draw this fleeting breath,
When mine eyes shall close in death,
(Originally "When my eye-strings break in death")
When I soar to worlds unknown,
See Thee on Thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee.

The Story Behind The Song
The year 1887 marked the Jubilee Year of the reign of Great Britain's Queen Victoria.
Embassies from the chief courts around the world came to pay her homage.
Among the many tributes was a delegation representing the reigning
monarchy of the island nation of Madagascar off the east coast of Africa.
Included in the group was an older gentleman named Hova.
Gracious and intelligent, he took great care to make a good
impression during his visit to the Court of Saint James.
After offering his congratulations, he told of his journey around the
Cape of Good Hope, the rocky headland on the Atlantic coast of the
Cape Peninsula in South Africa, known for its treacherous waters.
He then asked permission to sing a special song, one he said
he carried in his heart and which had often helped him
to navigate through the storms of life.
Many who had come to pay tribute to the Queen were from
European nations, and naturally assumed the man's odd request
would result in a heathenish chant or another song familiar with
the culture of his native land.
To their astonishment, in a thin tenor voice, the dark-skinned
Hova began to sing a sweet and familiar hymn.
"Rock of ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee!"
As the man sang through all the stanzas, with each verse his voice grew more
soft and reflective. When Hova finished singing, the room around him was
filled with a stunned silence. Many of his listeners had been moved to tears.
This humble stranger's singing of one of the most beloved hymns of
the Christian church stood alone that day as a powerful testimony to the
often hard won harvests of faith in Christ sown within the foreign mission field.
The prophet Ezekiel was a watchman over the House of Israel.
A watchman is a sentry who stood upon the walls of a city, especially
at night, to watch and to raise the alarm at the approach of enemies.
In these last days, believers are called to be watchers on the walls.
Buttercups and daises,
Oh, the pretty flowers;
Coming ere the spring-time,
To tell of sunny hours,
While the trees are leafless,
While the fields are bare,
Buttercups and daises
Spring up here and there.

How much of a role did vengeful Queen Mary play in Cranmer's demise?
Dr. Kat, gracious host of Reading The Past, brings us
another intriguing story from Britain's royal past.
To the praise of the glory of His grace,
wherein He hath made us
accepted in the Beloved.
In whom we have redemption
through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches
of His grace.
Wherein He hath abounded toward us
in all wisdom and prudence;
Having made known unto us
the mystery of His will,
according to His good pleasure
which He hath purposed
in Himself.
That in the dispensation
of the fulness of times
He might gather together in one
all things in Christ,
both which are in heaven,
and which are on earth;
even in Him.
In whom also, we have
obtained an inheritance,
being predestinated according
to the purpose of Him
who worketh all things
after the counsel of
His own will.
That we should be
to the praise of His glory,
who first trusted
in Christ.
(Ephesians 1:6-12)
This is what happened at our house this morning, beginning at
11:37 a.m (EST) or four minutes after the passing of the Spring equinox.
First an egg stood up by itself on my stove. A few minutes later,
I placed my broom in the center of the kitchen floor and there
it stood, all by itself, for almost 50 minutes!
According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, in the Northern Hemisphere, the
Spring equinox occurs when the Sun crosses the equator line, heading north.
This event marks the start of the spring season in the northern half of the globe.
After this date, the Northern Hemisphere begins to be tilted more toward the
Sun, resulting in increasing daylight hours and warming temperatures.
Also according to the Almanac, the origin of the myth of eggs standing up
by themselves during the first day of Spring allegedly began in ancient China,
when the people celebrated the first day of the season with
displays of eggs standing on end.
I have also heard that if you can balance an egg right, you can
get them to stand up by themselves any time of the year.
The idea of an egg standing upright only during this time
is largely regarded as a "science myth" these days.
Perhaps this is the truth. Perhaps there is a reasonable
explanation for eggs- and brooms- being able to stand up all
by themselves, even on uneven surfaces. All I know- and as you
can clearly see in this brief video- is that they did!
Happy first day of Spring!
O wind, where have you been,
That you blow so sweet?
Among the violets
Which blossom at your feet.
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.
In the world, ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world."
(John 16:33)
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle and easy to be intreated, full of mercy, and good fruits,
without partiality, and without hypocrisy."
(James 3:17)
Blest be the wisdom and the power,
The justice and the grace,
That joined in counsel to restore
And save our ruined race!
Our father ate forbidden fruit,
And from his glory fell;
And we, his children, thus were brought
To death, and near to hell.
Blest be the Lord, that sent His Son
To take our flesh and blood!
He for our lives gave up His own,
To make our peace with God.
He honored all His Father's laws,
Which we have disobeyed;
He bore our sins upon the cross,
And our full ransom paid.
Behold Him rising from the grave;
Behold Him raised on high:
He pleads His merits there, to save
Transgressors doomed to die.
There, on a glorious throne, He reigns;
And by His power divine
Redeems us from the slavish chains
Of Satan and of sin.
Thence shall the Lord to judgment come;
And, with a sovereign voice,
Shall call and break up every tomb,
While waking saints rejoice.
O may I then with joy appear
Before the Judge's face;
And, with the blest assembly there,
Sing His redeeming grace.

As I have stated in an earlier post, I really do not understand
what is the real reason behind this sudden escalation between Russia
and the Ukraine. These two nations have been arguing back and forth
for a long time now. However, while I was doing some research online,
I found a post written in February on the website of the controversial
billionaire globalist George Soros, in which he declared:
"We must stand with Ukraine, as they stand for us."
I had to wonder who were the "We" in which he was referring to?
Could it be "We" as in "We the People of the United States of America"?
Or "We" as in members of the New World Order? This conflict is none
of America's business. And the proposal of putting our troops on the
ground over there would be both an unpopular and foolhardy move
on the part of our government.
I think perhaps that in his post, Soros was actually referring to members
of his own Open Society Foundation, which in the Ukraine is known as the
International Renaissance Foundation, headquartered in the city of Kyiy.
Since the early 1990's Soros' organization, according to their own
website, has been actively working in the Ukraine, in the interests
of promoting, "justice, democratic governance, and human rights."
In other words, this new and unprecedented "crisis" in the Ukraine,
which seems to be affecting the entire world, especially in regards to
economically punishing big, bad, Russia, has Soros' dirty fingerprints
all over it. Furthermore, if Soros is advocating his undying support
for Ukraine, I am sure that nation's current president,
Volodymyr Zelenskyy knows all about it.
George Soros is the same man, who, has not only meddled in the
political/societal affairs in America for many years, but, as an impressionable
youth, helped to confiscate the property of his fellow Jews in Hungary during
WWII, before they were sent off to their deaths in Hitler's concentration camps.
Does anyone really believe George Soros truly cares about providing the
people of Ukraine with lasting justice and freedom? Isn't his brand of "justice,
democratic governance, and human rights" the reason why he was banned from
traveling in his own native Hungary? And why the Hungarian government
passed "Stop Soros" laws in order to prevent financial aid from being given
to undocumented immigrants there? Does this above-mentioned action taken
by the Hungarian government ring a bell with anyone reading this post?
This is just my own speculation, and although I am no fan of the crafty
Russian fox named Vladimir Putin, I also believe that the man is not stupid,
and, that he would not have "attacked" the Ukraine unprovoked, without
some sort of specific threat aimed at both himself and his nation, and
subsequently at thousands, perhaps millions, of lives across Russia,
eastern Europe, and the rest of the world.
Suppose prior to the invasion, Mr. Putin received intelligence reports
concerning the U.S.-operated biochemical laboratories operating across the
Russian border on Ukrainian soil, and was alerted to the frightening possibility
of one of those labs staging a Chernobyl-like "accident" only this time instead
of nuclear radiation, it would be a deadly cloud of human-manufactured
biochemicals released into the atmosphere?
Perhaps he took this threat seriously, and this is the real reason he sent
troops over the border into the Ukraine, to take control of these labs, and to
prevent a horrible and deliberately planned catastrophe from taking place.
Remember too, that as late as March 10th, our government was still
denying the existence of these labs.
What I would like to know is how many in Washington DC, other than the
usual suspects, not to mention the well-heeled movers and shakers controlling
America today, have financial ties to these biochemical labs operating in
the Ukraine? And, if Russia was to succeed in taking control of them,
how many millions of invested US dollars would be lost? Is this
the reason behind Senator Lindsey Graham's recent belligerent call,
after Zelenskyy's speech before Congress, that the
Russian people "should take out" Putin?
While my heart grieves for the Ukrainian people caught up in this
orchestrated mess foist upon them by greedy and evil men, I am equally
sympathetic to the Russian people, and especially the soldiers, who
have been caught on footage from cell phone cameras, helping
Ukrainian civilians escape out of harm's way.
As we know, much of the worldwide media is contriving to
tell a far different story. I pray that the truth will eventually
prevail in this ongoing and increasingly dangerous situation.
When the Full Worm Moon reached peak illumination this morning,
(3:20 a.m. to be exact) her lovely face was shrouded by a very dense fog
in my neck of the woods. By dawn, the fog seemed even more intense.
I often wonder if God sends these visible clashes of air masses to slow
us down and make us more aware of our surroundings. I had to go out
in the fog early this morning and I saw at least twenty five cars on
the road traveling through some of the densest fog I have seen in a
while- with no headlights on! The poor driving conditions
apparently had no affect on their lead foot on the gas pedal either!
The dense fog lasted until mid-morning and then the sun came out and the
skies cleared and the temperatures have risen into the mild 70's this afternoon.
Spring is definitely in the air!🎕 But back to tonight's full moon.
On the East Coast where I live, look for the moon to rise around 7:44 pm.
According to the folks at The Old Farmer's Almanac, this moon will look especially
large to us tonight, unlike last month, when the full moon appeared higher in
the sky and illuminated the dark landscape like a brilliant spotlight.
Concerning the "moon illusion" occurring this month, the Almanac says,
"By contrast, when the moon is low, it is reviewed in relation to
earthly objects, such as chimneys, or trees, whose size and shape provide scale.
Your brain compares the size of the Moon to the trees, buildings, or other
reference points, and suddenly, the Moon looks massive."
Since rain is predicted for this weekend in my area,
I hope I will get to see the rising of the last full moon of winter tonight!🌝

In a shady nook, one moonlit night, a leprechaun I spied
With a scarlet cap and a coat of green, and a cruiscin by his side
'Twas 'tic, tac, tic' his hammer went upon a tiny shoe
And I laughed to think he was caught at last-
but the fairy was laughing too.
There was mischief in his merry face, a twinkle in his eye
He hammered and sang with a tiny voice, and drank his mountain dew
Oh, I laughed to think he was caught at last-
but the fairy was laughing too.
As quick as thought, I seized the elf,
"Your fairy purse!" I cried.
The purse, I see, is in the hand of that lady by your side."
I turned to look-The elf was gone! Then what was I to do?
Oh, I laughed to think what a fool I'd been-
but the fairy was laughing too.

Oh, Mary this London's a wonderful sight
with the people here working by day and by night.
They don't sow potatoes nor barley nor wheat,
But There's gangs of them digging for
gold in the street.
At least when I asked them that's what I was told,
So I took just a hand at this digging for gold,
But for all that I found here I might as well be,
Where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea.
You remember young Peter O'Loughlin of course-
Well, now he is here at the head of the Force.
I met him today, I was crossing the Strand,
And he stopped the whole street with one wave of his hand;
And there we stood talking of days that are gone,
And the whole population of London looked on;
But for all these great powers he's wishful like me,
To be back where dark Mourne sweeps down to the sea.
There's beautiful girls here-oh, never you mind
With beautiful shapes Nature never designed,
And lovely complexions, all roses and cream (crame)
But O'Loughlin remarked with regard to the same;
That if at those roses you venture to sip,
The colours might all come away on your lip;
So I'll wait for the wild rose that's waiting for me,
Where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea.
