April's Full Pink Moon will rise tonight at 8:22 p.m. EST. The Jewish
holiday of Pesach, or Passover begins before sundown tonight and will
end after nightfall on April 20, 2025.
While this moon will not appear pink-it gained that name because of all
the lovely pink-hued, peach blossoms and other spring flowers blooming
at this time-lovely Luna will appear as the smallest full moon of the year.
Known as a "micro moon" she is currently the farthest from the earth
in orbit, known as apogee, which will make her seem slightly smaller
and less luminous as usual, although the difference might be hard
to discern with the naked eye.
Anyway, I am not sure I will be able to see the moon due to heavy
cloud cover here in my neck of the woods.
But I hope the skies will be clear where you are tonight!
