under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved,
he will receive the victor's crown of life which God has promised
to those who love Him."

In the swinging 1960's of London, "To Sir With Love" tells the story of an out of work engineer
who becomes a teacher to an unruly bunch of teen-agers in the city's rough East End district.
Acting legend Sidney Poitier gives a remarkable performance as "Sir" Mark Thackery,
a kind and sensitive man who teaches self-respect and responsibility to his students.
The film soundtrack includes the title song sung by British pop star, Lulu, who
also plays one of the students. "To Sir with Love" peaked at the top of the
Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States for five weeks in the fall of 1967
and became the best-selling single in America that year.
"But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light,
it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible
and clear there is light."

A relevant teaching for our times from beloved Christian apologist/author
Dave Hunt (1926-2013) founder of The Berean Call Ministries.
The American people have a right to self-defense in the wake of the
Marxist-instigated "invasion" at the border. God bless Texas!
Glad winters on the olden farm!
How raptures from the early times
Commingle into fairy chimes
Which gently banish cries of harm!
My fainting soul finds rest the whiles
Within the arms of memory,
And tender scenes of boyish glee
Transform my sorrows into smiles.
A legendary country music singer/songwriter and patriot's tribute to the American soldier.
In memory of Toby Keith
(1961-2024)
Toby Keith passed away peacefully Monday night February 5th, surrounded by his family
after a courageous two year battle with stomach cancer. May he rest in eternal peace.
Keith co-wrote the song, "American Soldier" with Chuck Cannon.
Released in November 2003, the song became the number one hit on Billboard's
U.S. Hot Country Songs chart, keeping the top spot for four weeks.
"Dwell in Me and I will dwell in you; Live in Me and I will live in you;
Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in the vine, neither
can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I AM the Vine; you are the branches.
Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much abundant fruit.
However, apart from Me you can do nothing."
(John 15:4-5)
