In mid-19th century Scotland, Bobby is a little Skye Terrier
who belongs to a farmer and his wife. He subsequently befriends
an elderly man named Auld Jock who tends the farmer's sheep.
After money grows scarce and the farmer has to fire him, Auld Jack
travels to the city of Edinburgh. Bobby decides to follow him there.

After his elderly master dies and is buried in Greyfriar's Kirkyard (cemetery)
faithful Bobby, now alone in the city, returns to sleep at his friend's gravesite
every night. According to the story still told in Scotland today, the faithful
little dog spent 14 years watching over the grave until his own death.
