Holocaust Remembrance Day 2021

"For Zion's sake I will not hold my peace,
and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest until her
imputed righteousness and vindication go forth
as brightness, and her salvation radiates as does a burning torch."
Isaiah 62:1

Cornelia Arnolda Johanna "Corrie" ten Boom
(1982-1983)
Dutch Christian survivor of the Holocaust

On or about the date of December 28, 1944  after standing
for hours in the freezing cold during morning roll call,
Corrie ten Boom was suddenly released from her
  imprisonment in Ravensbruck concentration camp
in northern Germany.

She was freed along with a group of women
some ten to fifteen years younger than herself.
Shortly after Corrie and the other ex-prisoners left the camp,
their Nazi captors sent all the women her age and older
to their deaths in the gas chambers.

It was later claimed Corrie's release was a "clerical error".
However, after reading her book, "The Hiding Place"
I know in my heart that God not only honored her often
sorely tested faith in Him, but He wanted her testimony
for the entire world to hear and to remember,
especially now in this century, where we have clearly seen the
ancient evil of antisemitism once again rearing it's ugly head,
not only in Europe, but in the United States of America.
Many Americans today, especially those called, " millennials"
are not only totally ignorant of the events of WWII, but have
been taught to believe that the Holocaust is merely a myth.

At age 70, Corrie ten Boom was knighted by
Her Royal Highness Queen Juliana of the Netherlands,
in recognition of her courageous work in trying to save
her Jewish neighbors from deportation by the Nazis.

And, on December 12, 1967, she was recognized by the
nation and people of Israel and the Yad Vashem Remembrance
Authority, which deemed her with the honor of
"Righteous Among The Nations".

I recommend anyone reading this post today to get a copy
of Corrie ten Boom's book, "The Hiding Place" and read it.
