On My Mind: Will Roe vs. Wade Be Overturned?

"Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and the righteous
slay thou not; for I will not justify nor acquit the wicked."
(Exodus 23:7)

If there is a single issue which could possibly trigger another Civil War
in America today it is abortion.  Already forces on both sides are gathering,
some with hopeful prayers and peaceful protests, and others threatening
violence, and even blood shed if necessary, to keep the heinous act
of infanticide protected under federal law

Now that the Supreme Court draft opinion has been "leaked" to the outside
world, Justice Samuel Alito, according to a news report I read today, has
apparently cancelled all his public appearance and he and his family have
gone into seclusion for their personal safety.

Meanwhile, another news story reported that Chief Justice John Roberts is
allegedly trying to persuade fellow Justices Clarence Thomas, Amy Coney-Barrett,
and Brett Kavanaugh to change their minds about overturning Roe vs. Wade.
However, since the original argument was based on fraud,
I strongly feel that it should be overturned by the Supreme Court.

In 1973, Norma "Jane Roe" McCorvey was a deeply conflicted, pregnant
single mother who, with the help of two crafty women lawyers, claimed that she
was denied an abortion under Texas state law at the time.  However, even before
the court's landmark decision was handed down, McCorvey gave birth to her
child, a daughter whom she gave up for adoption.

When Roe vs. Wade became the law of the land, legalizing abortion in all
fifty states,  "Jane Roe" was no longer pregnant!

Although I believe that abortion is a great evil, and should be outlawed in every
state in the union, I think this issue needs to be returned to the individual states
to be decided on by the citizens who live and vote there.

Furthermore, Americans should not have to be subjugated into violating their
religious convictions or their consciences by increasingly lawless, federal
government overreach, forcing them to pay for abortion through their taxes.
