"For how great is His goodness, and how great is His beauty!
Corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord
shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain,
to every one grass in the field."
(Zechariah 9:17, 10:1)
The glory of the spring, how sweet!
The newborn life, how glad!
What joy the happy earth to greet
In spring's bright raiment clad!
Divine Renewer, Thee we bless
For Thy great love and power,
And greet Thee for Thy loveliness
Expressed in leaf and flower.
O may we be, by Thy great power,
Renewed these spring-tide days;
And so reflect Thee in each hour
That all shall give Thee praise.
Still let new life and strength up-spring,
Still let new joy be given;
And grant the glad new song to ring
Through-out the earth and heaven.
Amen.
