"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it
and indulge it will eat its fruits and bear the consequences of their words."
(Proverbs 18:21)
How true the words of this timeless maxim are!

Despite some technical difficulties on social media, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has
officially tossed his hat into the ring to run on the Republican ticket in the upcoming
2024 Presidential race. In a video posted to his Twitter account, Governor DeSantis
declared, "I'm Ron DeSantis and I am running for President to lead
our great American comeback."
No sooner did Governor DeSantis post his remarks on Twitter, former
President Donald Trump released a blistering attack against him, using his own
social media platform to criticize DeSantis' character and question his integrity.
Recalling DeSantis' first run for Florida governor in 2018, Trump said,
"Look, Ron DeSanctimonious came to me asking for help. He was losing badly,
by 31 points, to the popular Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam.
"He was getting ready to drop out of the race-Ran a terrible campaign!"
The 45th President went on to say that Ron DeSantis not only sought his
support and endorsement, but so did his opponent Adam Putnam.
Trump chose to back DeSantis.
"The race was over. In one day he went from losing badly to winning
by a lot," boasted Trump. With 3 LARGE TRUMP RALLIES,
he WON THE GENERAL ELECTION in an upset."
President Trump accused Governor DeSantis of being "disloyal" and
charged that the Florida governor needs to get a "personality transplant".
It sounds to me as if someone is suffering from a bruised ego here.
During his angry rant, Trump clearly forgot to mention that after
winning Florida's gubernatorial race in 2018, Ron DeSantis publicly
thanked him for his support and helping him win the election.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the political spectrum, Representative
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) chimed in and mocked DeSantis after
responding to entrepreneur David Sacks' claim that the initial audience
for the Florida governor's announcement on Twitter broke the internet.
"We had more people join when I played Among Us," Ocasio- Cortez
posted on Twitter, referring to a popular video game.
This catty tweet coming from a woman who self-identifies as
a Democratic Socialist and who is a member in good standing
of the obnoxious anti-Semitic bully girl group called "The Squad"
should stay off social media and find something better to
do with her time. Perhaps she should invest in an interactive
online game which teaches players about the functions
of the three branches of the U.S. Government?

Donald Trump's rantings against Ron DeSantis seem less about disloyalty
as he claims, and a great deal more about the anger, resentment, and pride
harbored within the heart of man. His displeasure with DeSantis reminds
me of the terrible rivalry between King Saul of Israel and the man who
would one day replace him on the throne, King David.
Neither of these men were perfect, yet God chose them to occupy
a position of authority over the people and nation of Israel.
Initially a good leader, Saul became a victim of his own pride,
making foolish blunders and ignoring the instructions of God.
When he lost God's favor to David, the former attempted to track
down and kill his successor whom he had once regarded as a friend.
Even after being disposed as king, Saul continued to openly defy
the Lord and even broke his own law against the practice of
sorcery in Israel when he consulted the witch at Endor for help.
The witch was not fooled by the former king in disguise, yet,
she conjured up the spirit of the dead prophet, Samuel, who,
after chastising Saul for disturbing him, told him,
because he did not obey the voice of the Lord or
execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore
the Lord has done this thing to you this day.
"Moreover, the Lord will also give Israel with
you into the hands of the Philistines, and
tomorrow you and your sons will be
with me among the dead."
(1 Samuel 28:18-19)
While President Donald Trump set a noble and righteous
precedent in recognizing Jerusalem as the eternal capital
city of the nation of Israel, Governor Ron DeSantis has
displayed amazing courage under fire by standing up to the
diabolical machinations of the LGBTQ+ political agenda
which has infiltrated Florida's public school system.
He recently signed bills that ban gender-affirming care
for minors, target drag queen shows, restrict discussion
of "preferred pronouns" in schools and which
forces people to use certain bathrooms.
Standing behind a lectern with a sign reading,
"Let Kids Be Kids" Governor DeSantis told the crowd which
had gathered for the bill-signing ceremony, "It's kind of
sad that we even have some of these discussions."
It is sad. And disturbing that across our nation school
administrators and members of state legislatures alike
have chosen to bow their knees to this appalling
wickedness being unleashed against innocent,
impressionable children, while denying the
rights of parents to question what is being
taught in the classroom or to make
decisions for their own children.
DeSantis is also refusing to back down from an ongoing
dispute with Disney-one of the largest employers in the
Sunshine State- due to the company's unequivocal
embrace of the Woke Movement's Marxist-rooted,
"diversity and inclusiveness" ideology.
On behalf of the generations of American children who grew
up watching Uncle Walt on "The Wonderful World Of Disney"
I would like to thank Governor DeSantis for his defiance
towards those who are determine to besmirch the name of
the great anti-communist, pro-American Walter Elias Disney.

In April, 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 300, better known as
the Heartbeat Protection Act, a law which prohibits abortion once the
unborn child has a detectible heartbeat.
Despite the ongoing legal challenge against the state abortion ban
signed by Governor DeSantis, if upheld, the Florida ban would be one of
the toughest in the United States. However, Governor DeSantis has
not made his position clear on whether such restrictions should
be imposed in other states.
Meanwhile, although he claimed to be "everyone's president" in attempts to
quell the rumors and false accusations lobbied at him in the media concerning
his administration's purported anti-LGBTQ+ stance, Donald Trump has
referred to himself as "the most pro-life president in American history."
However, according to the Susan B. Anthony Pro Life America group,
in recent months, the former president has been actively side-stepping the issue
of abortion. While Trump has stated that he believes abortion should be a decision
left up to the individual states to decide on, while stumping in Iowa, Trump refused
to say whether he would support a federal ban restricting abortion in every state.
While abortion might be considered a 'controversial political issue',
and while the states should make the decision regarding whether
it should be legal or not in their domain, the inescapable
conclusion is that abortion is the willful and deliberate
taking of human life. People might call it, "choice".
God calls it murder.
While we cannot read their minds, I think both Donald Trump and
Ron DeSantis have a lot to offer to the American people. Both men
have proven their mettle as strong and capable leaders, who have
mystified the so-called, "Establishment" with their unprecedented
wins and who both know how to "roll with the punches" when it
comes to navigating the sordid and disreputable realm
of American politics. Both men claim to love America
and want to see her rise up to become a great nation again.
However, where there is no honoring of God, there is no vision,
and the people of the nation will perish. We are watching our
beloved nation disintegrating on a daily basis before our very eyes.
If there was ever a time for pride-swallowing and focusing on
what really matters-our freedom hanging by the slenderest
of threads-there is no time like the present.
So, I say with all due respect and sincerity to former
President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis:
Make amends with each other without the prying eyes
of the duplicitous news media watching.
Forgive each other and then get down to work-together-for America.
And may the best man win.
