"If the world hates you, know that it hated Me before it hated you."
(John 15:18)
It is shocking and disgusting and hanging up in the European Parliament.
And, as Martin Mawyer of the Majority Report claims, in order to bring
attention to herself, the artist has decided to defend her
perverse work, which she calls, "Ecco-Homo".
The words, "Ecco Homo" translated from Latin mean
"Behold the Man" and were prevalent in western Christian art
from the 15th to the 17th centuries. They reflect the words
of the Roman governor Pontius Pilate to the Jews who
were demanding the crucifixion of Jesus.
(John 19:5)
This shameless mockery of Christ does not surprise me.
Artist Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin hails from Sweden, a nation where
open homosexuality has been legal since 1944, and where LGBTQ
rights are regarded as some of the most progressive in Europe.
Sweden was also the first nation in the world to allow
transgendered people to change their legal gender.
Wallin's offensive rendering of the Lord is actually symbolic
of Sweden and other European nations which have forsaken
their Christian heritage to embrace the satanic lies of
"tolerance" "diversity" and "dialogue" or what the
apostle Paul describes as the reprobate mind.
"And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve
of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over
to a base and condemned mind to do these things
not proper or decent but loathsome."
(Romans 1:28)
Elisabeth Wallin believes that Jesus was the champion of the
oppressed and that He would have supported LGBTQ rights.
On the contrary, the sinless Son of God came into this world
to deliver the oppressed from the penalty of their sins, dying
on the cross so that they may share in eternal life with Him.
It is only through the precious shed blood of Messiah that
we are absolved from our transgressions.
