"For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear,
nor has seen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself
active on behalf of him who earnestly waits for Him."
(Isaiah 64:4)
"Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather
into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them.
Are you not worth much more than they?"
(Matthew 6:26)
Not so in haste, my heart!
Have faith in God and wait;
Although He linger long,
He never comes too late.
He never cometh late;
He knoweth what is best;
Vex not thyself in vain;
Until He cometh, rest.
Until He cometh, rest,
Nor grudge the hours that roll;
Thy feet that wait for God
Are soonest at the goal.
Are soonest at the goal
That is not gained by speed;
Then hold thee still, my heart,
For I shall wait His lead.
