In the first of the "Four Seasons" Silly Symphony cartoons from
Walt Disney Productions, flowers, ladybugs, centipedes, birds, and frogs
dance (and devour each other!) while celebrating the arrival of Spring.
On a more historical note, this cartoon was released on October 24, 1929
the same day of the Stock Market Crash-also called Black Thursday-
which led to the Great Depression.
"When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound,
and time shall be no more,
and the morning breaks, eternal, bright, and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather
over on the other shore,
and the roll is called up yonder,
I'll be there..."
"The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of distress; He cares for those who trust in Him."
(Nahum 1:7)
In this classic teaching, beloved Pastor Dr. Charles Stanley
reminds us that the greatest decision we can make in our
lives is placing our trust and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
America's favorite prime time bandleader Lawrence Welk and his
talented cast of dancers, singers, and musicians celebrate an eclectic mix
of "showstopper" tunes including, "That's Entertainment" "Hello Dolly"
" Somewhere Over The Rainbow" "In The Mood" "Fascination" "Somewhere
My Love" "Mr. Bojangles" "The Beer Barrel Polka" and more!
In response to a recent poll regarding America's role in the Straight of Hormuz,
as long as the demoniac remains of the Iranian regime keep launching rockets,
threatening Israel, and other nations in the Middle East, there is a vital need
for an international alliance to protect and defend these waters
in the interests of global trade and energy.
While I believe America's support for the nation and people of Israel
is important, I am opposed to any long term involvement in the region.
Especially American boots on the ground there.
President Trump says that this war will end soon, and yet, I recently read
that the Pentagon is requesting a $200 billion dollar "war budget" for
this latest conflict! What about average Americans struggling to buy
food, gas, and pay escalating energy bills?
Someone once told me that there is enough natural gas and oil deposits
beneath our own soil and that America should never have to depend on
imported oil in the first place. I believe he was right.
Furthermore, I think years of foreign entanglements with nations whose
religious ideology and worldview is diametrically opposed to our own way
of life has placed America's freedom in serious jeopardy.
Who thought that almost 25 years after the worst terrorist attack launched on
U.S. soil in this century, when the first physical evidence of the holy war
declared against us unfolded in a living nightmare of death and destruction,
"Ground Zero" a.k.a. New York City would elect an unapologetic Islamist
as their mayor? A man whose wife was caught "liking" far-left social
media posts celebrating the horrific massacre of Israeli men, women,
and children by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023.
According to one report in the New York Post, NY Mayor Zohran Mamdani's wife,
Rama Duwaji "liked" a February 2024 Instagram post questioning the validity of
a New York Times report about the campaign of sexual violence perpetrated
against Israeli civilians on that horrible day nearly three years ago.
Duwaji believes the graphic accounts of mass rape were a hoax.
According to Israeli survivor Tali Binder, who managed to hide from Hamas
that day, "I would expect any woman-especially Mrs. Mamdani- to at least try
to imagine...To close her eyes and picture evil people breaking into her home,
her safe space, assaulting her and her husband, daring to sexually violate her
in front of her family, murdering her children before her eyes. This is exactly
what our women and men experienced on October 7th."
Binder further claims that denials of the hideous crimes committed, and the
NYC First Lady's support of them, "...makes my blood boil, not just because of
the injustice to the victims of October 7th, but because every time sexual violence
is politicized or denied, it weakens the protection women everywhere should have."
It seems to me, however, like Rama Duwaji-Mamdani received a free pass from
most of the media, while courageous men like Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala),
are taken to task by the same passel of useful idiots who recently accused him
of "spreading Islamophobic rhetoric"- for daring to look our enemies in the eye
and calling them out for what they are- enemies of the American people.
The terrible atrocities which occurred on October 7th in Israel should serve
as a reminder to us all that Islam is the foe of liberty, an anathema,
to everything We The People hold dear in regards to our existence
as a free and independent nation and people.
The English writer, Rudyard Kipling once wrote:"Stand up and take the war,
the Hun is at the gate." In America's case: "Stand up and fight the war.
Our enemies have crashed through the gate and have entered the hinterland."
Evil flourishes when good people do nothing.
Mindful of you the sodden earth in spring,
And all the flowers that in the springtime grow;
And dusty roads, and thistles, and the slow
Rising of the round moon; all throats that sing
The summer through, and each departing wing,
And all the nests that the bared branches show;
And all the winds that in any weather blow,
And all the storms that the four seasons bring.
You go no more on your exultant feet
Up paths that only mist and morning knew;
Or watch the wind, or listen to the beat
Of a bird's wings too high in air to view,-
But you were something more than young and sweet
And fair,- and the long year remembers you.

Beloved American actor and entertainer Chuck Norris passed away
unexpectedly yesterday at the age of 86. While known for his many
action movies and as the star of the TV series, "Walker Texas Ranger"
Chuck was most passionate about his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Go rest high on that mountain, Mr. Norris!
May God comfort his wife and family in this time of sorrow and loss.
"You're safely home in the arms of Jesus,
Eternal life, my brother's found,
The day will come, I know I'll see you
In that sacred place, on that Holy ground..."
"And when I go away...I know my heart can stay with my love, it's understood,
It's in the hands of my love...And my love, does it good..."
Released in March, 1973 as the lead single from the album, "Red Rose Speedway" by
the English band Paul McCartney and Wings, the former Beatles member wrote "My Love"
for his wife and fellow band mate, Linda Eastman McCartney. Although given an unfavorable
reception by some music critics who thought the lyrics were too sentimental, the song topped
the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US for four weeks, while peaking at Number 9 on the
UK Singles Chart. Paul McCartney's heartfelt tribute to the woman who was the love
of his life was viewed as Wings' first hit song in America and helped to make
"Red Rose Speedway" a commercial success that year.
"As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the rain,
and like the spring showers that water the earth."
(Hosea 6:3)
Kindly spring again is here,
Trees and fields in bloom appear;
hark! the birds with artless lays
Warble their Creator's praise.
Where is winter all was snow,
Now the flowers in clusters grow;
And the corn, in green array,
Promises a harvest-day.
Lord, afford a spring to me,
Let me feel like what I see;
Speak, and by Thy gracious voice,
Make my drooping soul rejoice.
On Thy garden deign to smile,
Raise the plants, enrich the soil,
Soon Thy presence will restore
Life to what seemed dead before.

"Beloved, do not let this one thing escape your notice: With the Lord a day is like
a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping
His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting
anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance."

"My beloved calls to me, "Arise my darling.
Come away with Me, my beautiful one.
For now the winter is past;
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers have appeared

the season of singing has come,
and the cooing of the turtledoves
is heard in our land.
The fig tree ripens its figs;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come away, my darling;
come away with me, my beautiful one."

"Abba, Father," He said, "all things are possible for You. Take this cup from Me.
Yet not what I will, but what You will."
(Mark 14:36)
"For you have not received The Spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have
received The Spirit of the adoption of children by whom we cry, "Abba, our Father."
And that Spirit testifies to our spirit that we are the sons and daughters of God."
(Romans 8:15-16)
The word, "Abba" is an Aramaic* word which translates to "Father" in English.
A term of endearment and intimacy, in the Jewish culture of the time, "Abba"
was akin to "Daddy" or "Papa" in modern language. It was a word used by children
to address their fathers, but also by adults to express respect and affection.
Abba appears in the New Testament in three distinct passages, each highlighting
the intimate relationship between believers and God, as well as the unique relationship
between Jesus and the Father.
.
A once formal and distant relationship became one of intimacy and closeness
through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and is confirmed by
the Lord's own words: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes
to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
*Aramaic is a Semitic language closely related to Hebrew and Arabic. The use
of Aramaic by Jesus is a testament to His engagement with the common people
of His time. It reflects His approachability and His mission to communicate
the Kingdom of God in a manner that was understandable to his audience.
The Lord's Prayer and the Beatitudes, while recorded in Greek, were likely
orginally spoken in Aramaic, emphasizing the language's role in
conveying Jesus' teachings.-Bible Hub

"Not My will but Thine."
(Luke 22:42)
And shall I pray Thee change Thy will my Father,
Until it be according to mine?
But no, Lord, no, that shall never be, rather
I pray Thee blend my human will with Thine.
I pray Thee hush the hurrying eager longing
I pray Thee soothe the pangs of keen desire.
See in my quiet places wishes thronging,
Forbid them, Lord, purge, though it be with fire.
And work in me to will and do Thy pleasure.
Let all within me, peaceful, reconciled,
Tarry content my Wellbeloved's leisure,
At last, at last, even as a weaned child.

"He who suffered in Gethsemane will be our strength and our victory too.
We may fear, we may also sink, but let us not be dismayed, and we shall
yet praise Him, and look back from a finished course, and say,
"Not one word hath failed of all the Lord hath spoken."
But in order to do this, we must, like Him, meet the conflict, not with a defiant,
but with a submissive spirit. He had to say, "Not My will, but Thine be done."
but in saying it, He gained the very thing He surrendered. So the submission
of Gethsemane is not a blind and dead submission of a heart that abandons
all its hope; but it is the free submission that bows the head, in order to
get double strength through faith and prayer.
We let go, in order that we may take a firmer hold. We give up, in order
that we may more fully receive. We lay our Isaac on Mount Moriah, and
we ask him back, no longer Isaac, but God's Isaac, and infinitely more
secure, because given back in the resurrection life."

"But the waves are calling out my name
And they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed...
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again. "Boy you'll never win!'
"You'll never win!"
But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, 'This is for My glory".
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth."
