And Now...A Word About Our President

"Of whom the world was not worthy..."

How do you think the world views President Trump based on
the peace agreements he has negotiated since taking office?

This was the question posed to me in a recent poll.

I voted for one of the least chosen answers, which was that our president
will be criticized, "regardless of the outcome."

While we expect rabid negativity from the media lap dogs in the pocket of the
political Far Left, there have been a lot of people freaking out on social media
over his decision to enforce tariffs on other nations.  Others are claiming he has
abandoned his MAGA base with this decision, while many more blame him for
the recent spike of food and gas prices across the nation. Or, they insinuate that
he is using his presidency in order to secure international business deals which
will only benefit himself.  Trump has not even been in office for one year yet!

People need to realize that most campaign promises do not materialize overnight.

I voted for Donald Trump, and I truly believe that I witnessed the mercy of God
on our nation the night of the election when he won the state of Pennsylvania
and the presidency.  We who voted for this man knew it would not be an
easy road for him.  He has many enemies in the seedy world of politics
and corporate business.  But I think God was well aware of this when
he allowed Donald Trump to once again become America's president.

He knows the motives within this man's heart better than anyone else.

Furthermore, although he has a tendency to be abrupt at times, President Trump
possesses a rare quality which is sorely lacking in most world leaders today, which sets
him apart from the rest. It's called intestinal fortitude.  More commonly known as "guts".

Whether he is sitting down to pow-wow with Vladimir Putin, or giving his personal
stamp of approval to Israel to go into Gaza and annihilate HAMAS, especially after
the latter's rejection of the most recent U.S.-backed cease-fire/peace deal,
President Trump usually gets right to the heart of the matter.

"It was too bad.  Hamas didn't really want to make a deal.  I think they want
to die," he told reporters as he departed the White House for a trip to Scotland in July.

The president's mother, Mary Anne Macleod Trump, was born and raised
in the village of Tong, located on Lewis, the largest of the islands in the
Outer Hebrides, located off the west coast of Scotland.

Although I am not sure of any ancestral link, it seems to me that the same
indomitable spirit of Scottish hero William Wallace flows in Donald Trump's
veins, as evident when, after nearly being felled by an assassin's bullet last summer,
he defiantly stood his ground and urged horrified onlookers to "Fight! Fight! Fight!"

May God bless and keep our president safe in His love and mercy always.

Down the lanes of August-and the bees upon the wing,

All the world's in color now, and all the song birds sing;

Never reds will redder be, more golden be the gold,

Down the lanes of August, and the summer getting old.

Mother Nature's brushes now with paints are dripping wet,

Gorgeous is her canvas with the tints we can't forget;

Here's a yellow wheat field-purple asters there,

Riotous the colors that she's splashing everywhere.

Red the cheeks of apples and pink the peaches' bloom,

Redolent the breezes with the sweetness of perfume;

Everything is beauty crowned by skies of clearest blue,

Mother Earth is at her best once more for me and you.

Down the lanes of August with her blossoms at our feet,

Rich with gold and scarlet, dripping wet with honey sweet.

Rich or poor, no matter, here are splendors spread,

Down the lanes of August, for all who wish to tread.

Flashback Friday: Turn Around Look At Me

Written by American songwriter Jerry Capehart, and country/pop singer Glen Campbell,
the romantic classic, "Turn Around Look At Me" was recorded by Campbell
for his 1961 album by the same name.

Later versions of this beautiful love song were recorded by The Lettermen in 1962,
and the Bee Gees in 1964, but the best cover of this song released in 1968 by the
pop/rock music group, The Vogues was the most successful, reaching Number 7 on
the American Hot 100 chart and Number 3 on the Adult Contemporary chart that year.

Remembering Dr. James C. Dobson (1936-2025)

"There is nothing more important than parents passing on a
generational legacy of faith and values to their children."
-Dr. James C. Dobson

James Clayton Dobson Jr.
 American Christian Evangelist
Founder of Focus On The Family

A towering figure in evangelical Christianity,  Dr. James C. Dobson
influenced  generations of Christian parents through his many books,
radio program, and nationwide ministry, Focus On The Family,
which he founded in 1977.

With divorce rates rising and the rapid decline of morality
within our national culture,  Dr. Dobson was known for his
staunch defense of the traditional family.  He stressed to Christian
parents the vital importance of providing Christ-like stewardship
and guidance to their children according to the timeless
precepts found with the Word of God.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
(Matthew 25:23)

James Dobson went home to be with the Lord yesterday after a brief illness.

May he rest safely in the loving arms of the Lord Jesus.

Enter Into My Rest

"There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God.  For whoever enters
God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. Let us, therefore,
make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following
the same pattern of disobedience."
(Hebrews 4:9-11)

and all the promised glory will be accomplished."

"What is the rest of which these verses speak?  It is generally explained as the rest
the true believer finds and has in the Lord Jesus Christ in believing; that his
conscience has rest.  It is frequently identified with Matthew 11:28-29:

"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble
in heart and you will find rest for your souls."

While it is blessedly true that all who come to the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour
find rest in Him from the curse of the law and the burden of sin, while it is equally
true that those who follow Him in obedience and learn of Him find rest day by day
for their souls, yet it is not this present rest which is before us in these verses.

The rest which is meant is called by God, "My rest"; it is the rest of God and is
future, the rest in coming glory, an eternal rest.  It is God's rest, because He made
it Himself and He will enjoy it in glory with those who have believed in Christ, in
whose perfect work God has His rest, because it satisfies His holiness and His love.

Into this rest the believer enters at His coming.  The work will be over and all
burdens cease.  Righteousness reigns and groaning creation is delivered and all
the promised glory will be accomplished.  God rest then in His love and rejoices.

"The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you
with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing."
(Zephaniah 3:17)

Till that day God works, for sin and the curse is unremoved, but all will be changed
when His Son appears in glory and all things are put in subjection under Him.
That perfect, complete rest of God is in the new heaven and earth, when God
dwells among men and sin and death are forever gone. He then is all and all.
This is the rest which remains for the people of God.

The 6 Forbidden Gospels And Why They Were Rejected

"For many will come in My name and they will say, "I AM THE LIVING GOD"
The Messiah, and they will deceive many."
(Matthew 24:5)

"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the
one we preached to you, let him be under a curse!  As we have said before, so I
now say again:  If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one
you received, let him be under a curse!"

Thou O Jehovah Shalt Endure

Thou, O Jehovah, shalt endure,

Thy throne forever is the same;

And to all generations sure

Shall be Thy great memorial name.

The time for Zion's help is near,

The time appointed in Thy love;

O let Thy gracious aid appear,

Look Thou in mercy from above.

O Lord, regard the prayer of those

Who love the walls of Zion well,

Whose hearts are heavy for her woes,

Who sad amid her ruins dwell.

Thy power and glory shall appear,

And Zion's walls shall be restored;

Then all the kings of the earth shall fear

And heathen nations serve the Lord.

The Lord has heard and answered prayer

And saved His people in distress;

This to the coming age declare

That they His holy name may bless.

The Lord, exalted on His throne,

Looked down from Heaven with pitying eye

To still the lowly captive's moan

And save His people doomed to die.

All the men in Zion shall declare

His gracious name with one accord,

When kings and nations gather there

To serve and worship God the Lord.
