"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil
is for good men to do nothing."
-Edmund Burke
I am greatly concerned with the push in Congress by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and others in the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives, to pass into law the totally depraved piece of legislation called, "The Equality Act" which is expected to be voted on next week.
If it were to pass into law, this act would not only seriously jeopardize the safety of American women and girls with it's redefining of who can use female only designated public restrooms and locker rooms, but would unfairly penalize female athletes by allowing biological men to compete in women's sports.
This proposed absurdity would severely affect the rights of women in the workplace, by allowing men who identify as women to utilize business programs and incentives specifically designed for women, and also interfere with the medical profession, by forcing doctors and others who provide legitimate hormone treatments and surgical procedures for patients with certain physical conditions, to offer the same treatments to individuals with "gender dysphoria".
Furthermore, this act could possibly erode the rights of parents in making serious medical decisions for their children, as well as restrict religious freedom in this nation. It also promises to be the most radical pro-abortion legislation ever passed by our government. I do not believe it is right or fair that government can be permitted to violate the moral consciences of many by forcing the American people to pay for abortions or subsidize Planned Parenthood through their taxes.
With all the problems facing our nation at this time, the Democratic majority in Congress only seems interested in pandering to the demands of the radical LGBTQ agenda, by attempting to recognize homosexuality, but more so those who identify as transgender, as a minority class of people with a special set of "civil rights". The privileges bestowed on this new government-designated class will be used primarily to usurp the civil rights of other Americans and especially white, evangelical Christians, whom the Democratic majority, as well as the LGBTQ agenda pushers hate and have targeted as "bigots" who should be punished for standing for their faith in Jesus Christ.
It is my most fervent prayer that the members of our Congress, who recently and wisely refused to impeach former President Donald Trump for a second time, will continue to demonstrate real leadership and stand up in a united front against the demands of House Speaker Pelosi and her minions, and defeat this proposed evil legislation, which could ultimately lead to the ruination of many American lives.
