One of the best scenes from one of my favorite movies,
"A Man Called Peter" which is the screen biography of
Dr. Peter Marshall Sr. (1902-1949) Scottish-born American
minister and twice-appointed Chaplain of the United States Senate,
the first husband of Christian writer, Catherine Marshall,
who wrote the book, "A Man Called Peter".
I feel Dr. Marshall's words, as spoken here by actor Richard Todd,
have profound meaning, and should serve as a wake-up call,
not only for those serving in our government today,
but for God-fearing, freedom-loving Americans from
all walks of life in these uncertain and perilous times.
True and lasting freedom can only come by
first honoring and obeying God in our hearts
and in our lives.
