Memorial Day 2021

Rest, comrades, rest and sleep!

The thoughts of men shall be

As sentinels to keep

Your rest from danger free.

Your silent tents of green

We deck with fragrant flowers

Yours has the suffering been,

The memory shall be ours.

"Decoration Day"

On this Memorial Day

It's not about parades and picnics

It's not about sales and shopping

It's not about a trip to the beach.

Or the beginning of the summer season.

It's about honor.  And sacrifice.

And remembering those who

gave their lives for freedom.

Mine and yours.

To the men and women currently serving in
the Armed Forces of the United States of America,
and to the veterans who have honorably served
this nation, may God bless and keep you always!
Thank you for my freedom.

To the men and women whom are no longer with us,
may you rest and sleep in eternal peace.
