Rose lovers complain
Of hot sun and rain
Yet God brings lookers each year
Heaven exposes
God's fragrant roses
The blue ribbon roses are here.
Zephirine Droubin
Old Bourbon Climbing Rose
Yellow roses stayed
As each petal frayed
Time tore it and it fell apart
As petals fell out
Each piece to the count
A warm tear fell from my heart.
I place my red rose
With the love that it grows
In the hands of my God, every time
Sprinkled with love
And His powers here of
Blessed by God's heavenly wine.
As angels pink rose
To perfection grows
Pure beauty like heaven that's sweet
All roses God grew
Are best to show through
With petals all laid at His feet.
