Walking on the marble streets of the ancient city of Ephesus,
Zola visits the grand open air theater where the apostle Paul
encountered a crowd of irate silversmiths and others shouting
at him, "Great is Diana of the Ephesians!" The apostle had
to flee from the city, but not before he managed to plant the
seed of the gospel within the hearts of some of the people,
which led to the establishment of a Christian church there.
