This weekend Jews around the world will observe Tisha B Av,
 ( The Ninth of Av) a solemn time of fasting and prayer. 

This observance commemorates the many tragedies 
which have befallen the Jewish people throughout history,
and in particular, the destruction of the two temples
in the city of Jerusalem.

In this final episode of the "Living Waters" series,
Zola Levitt recounts the heart-breaking story 
of the historic Jewish community of Rhodes.

During World War II, the Jews living there
were rounded up and taken away from their 
 homes by the Nazis, and later transported  
to the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Zola interviews one of the island's six Jewish
survivors of the Holocaust.
