Flashback Friday : Make The World Go Away

 

Traveling back, at least in my mind, to a far different time and a far
 different America, when the soothing vocals of  country music legend,
 the great Eddie Arnold, captured the unspoken feelings within the heart.

Released in October, 1965  "Make The World Go Away" epitomized
the smooth strings, sophisticated background vocals, and tempos of
  what was touted as The Nashville Sound, a gentle subgenre of the 
earlier honky-tonk music era of the 1940's and 50's. 

This beautiful classic was one of Eddie Arnold's biggest hit songs
and reached the Number One spot on both the country and
adult contemporary charts that year.
