"You are to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days after you
have gathered the produce of your threshing floor and your winepress."
(Deuteronomy 16:3)
The Feast of Tabernacles, known as Sukkot in Hebrew, begins
tomorrow night at sundown and will last for seven days ending
this year on October 23rd, 2024. Hebrew Month/ Year: Tishrei/7585.
In this classic presentation filmed on location in Israel, Messianic
Bible teacher Zola Levitt (1938-2006) Founder of Zola Levitt Ministries,
explains this particular festival in which the mood in Israel changes from
a solemn occasion of judgement to one of celebration and merriment.
The pilgrims of Massachusetts Colony are said to have based their
first harvest festival on the Feast of Tabernacles.
We know this holiday today as Thanksgiving.
