On My Mind: 'Historic Peace Deal' Or Just Another Cease-Fire?

again and expecting different results."

With all due respect to President Trump, has he truly negotiated a peace deal
...or merely a cease-fire?

As much as I admire President Trump as a strong and capable leader,
who does get things done despite the great opposition he faces in our nation and
the world, I do not believe what is being touted as an "historic peace" agreement
in the Middle East can simply be ironed out in a business deal.

It remains to be seen whether the monsters known as Hamas will uphold their end
of the bargain and release the remaining 48 hostages (both alive and the remains
of those who  have died) still being held- somewhere.

On the flip side of the coin, Israel agreeing to the release of 1,950 of
the worst Hamas/Palestinian terrorists from prison in exchange for the
remaining hostages does not sound right or fair-or very smart for that matter!

Back in 2011, when Israel agreed to release 1,000 Palestinian terrorists from
prison in exchange for one IDF soldier, Gilad Shalit, one of those released was
none other than Yahya Sinwar, one of the masterminds behind the October 7th, 2023
massacre of over 1,139 people, including Israeli men, women, children, babies,
as well as  foreign nationals attending the NOVA festival in southern Israel.

Although I want to see an end to the long-suffering of the families of the remaining
hostages, and for them to be once more reunited with their loved ones, I am inclined
to agree with Dr. Hagai Ben Artzi, brother-in-law of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

When recently speaking to Arutz Sheva/Israel National News,  Dr. Ben Artzi
issued dire warnings of his nation's latest prisoner swap agreement with Hamas:

"There is always joy.  I rejoiced when the three soldiers were freed in the Jibril Deal,
and I rejoiced when Gilad Shalit returned.  But at the time, even back then, and even
more so today, I knew that with our own hands we were signing
the next kidnapping,  the next massacre, the next murders."
