America At 250: George Washington's Tomb/ Wreath Laying Ceremony

 

 

 

 President George Washington directed in his will that his "new" tomb
be built at Mount Vernon and that he be buried in it.  In this presentation,
host John Marshall, Director of Guest Relations at Mount Vernon, explains
the history of the tomb and about the wreath-laying ceremony held daily
 where the first President of the United States lies buried today.
