"Till I Can Make It On My Own" co-written by American country singer/songwriter
Tammy Wynette, reflected the changes in her life after her bitter divorce from fellow
country singer George Jones, and the anxiety she experienced performing without him.
Said to be Tammy's favorite song, "Till I Can Make It On My Own" was her first
successful solo hit in nearly three years and reached Number One in America on
the Country Music Billboard chart 50 years ago this week on April 10, 1976.
