Flashback Friday: Reach Out I'll Be There

Only one week after their live performance on national television, October 16, 1966
via the CBS-TV variety program,  "The Ed Sullivan Show",  the American pop group,
the Four Tops, reached the top of the music charts with their sensational hit record,
"Reach Out I'll Be There".  This classic soul song, one of the best of the Motown era
of the mid-1960's, was the Number One record in America sixty years ago this week.

Rolling Stone later ranked  "Reach Out" at number 206 on its list of "The 500
Greatest Songs Of All Time".  In 2022, the Library of Congress selected the song
for preservation in the National Recording Registry.
