the dangerous doctrine known as the "Prosperity Gospel".
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
No one comes to the Father but through Me."
(John 14:6)
Under Old Testament law, only the high priest was permitted to
enter the "holy of holies" or the inner sanctum of the Temple
once a year on Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement.
When Christ died on the cross, the veil or curtain in the Temple,
which typified His human body was rent, in order for
believers to obtain righteousness, through His righteousness,
and gain access to the throne of the Father in heaven.
"Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
-George Santayana
As you may have already heard, actress Whoopi Goldberg was
recently suspended from ABC's obnoxious excuse for a talk show,
a.k.a. "The View" after claiming that the Holocaust wasn't about race.
"This is white people doing it to white people, so y'all gonna fight among
yourselves, Goldberg said, regarding the Holocaust. If you're going to do this,
then let's be truthful about it because the Holocaust isn't about race. It's not
about race. It's about man's inhumanity to man."
Although she initially apologized for her open-mouth-insert-foot
comments on "The View" Goldberg later appeared on The Late Show
With Stephen Colbert to try and clarify her point of view.
Before her appearance on The Late Show she had incurred the
ire of her co-hosts on The View when she stated, "These are two
groups of white people. You're missing the point. The minute
you turn it into race, it goes down this alley."
And what 'alley' is that, Ms. Goldberg?
Could it be the twisted tunnel vision of an insincere callous bigot?
While the Holocaust was indeed an example of man's inhumanity to man,
it was definitely about race. Adolf Hitler's genocidal policies against the
Jewish people sent millions of innocent human beings to perish in
death camps across Europe during World War II.
As a well-known, Oscar-winning actress and celebrity host of a
daily television program, Whoopi should have known better.
To glibly pare this horrible chapter in human history
down to a matter of the shared skin pigmentation between
the oppressors and the victims is not only outrageous, but
her excuses for what she said only reveals her underlining
animosity towards the white race, not to mention her
pathetic ignorance of what happened during the Holocaust.
Whoopi is not the only mouthpiece for the political Far Left,
as you can see by the display of obsequious flattery she received
on the Colbert program, and from her co-hosts on The View, who
quickly forgot the initial anger they felt over her careless remarks,
and now claim she was misunderstood and therefore
unfairly suspended from the show by the network.
Whoopi's "Whoops!" Moment fits in all too well with the
equally disturbing narrative of CRT, or Critical Race Theory,
being pushed by liberal educators in public school
classrooms across America today.
Impressionable children are being subjected to malicious
indoctrination, which primarily focuses on shaming white
children with a false sense of guilt over all the past evils
against non-whites in our "systemically racist" nation.
Meanwhile, black and other non-white children are being fed the lie
that they will always be victims, and therefore will never be able
to accomplish anything worthwhile for themselves due to the
deeply entrenched forces of "white privilege" in our society.
CRT is actually Marxist-designed propaganda being used to
divide America, and especially white and black people, along
racial and social lines. As with Hitler's racial edicts against the
Jews, it is rooted in ignorance and fear, but especially, in hate.
In an article published in this month's issue of Imprimis,
a publication of Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan
College President Larry P. Arnn wrote:
"Being taught alongside CRT is a distorted view of the history of
our country, which true enough has its warts, but which surely
has its glories as well-including glories about equal rights
regardless of race. Between fighting the armies of the
English monarchs, the Confederacy, the Nazis, the
communists, and Islamic terrorists, something near a
million Americans have died for the cause of equal rights.
These Americans have come in all colors."
Holy Munchin' Marmots, Batman!
The furry brown creature so dear to the hearts of weather-watching
folklorists in Pennsylvania's Dutch Country and all around the nation
emerged from his earthly home this morning and saw his shadow!
According to tradition, this means that we will see six
more weeks of winter weather!⛄
No foul weather, however, could stop the crowd from gathering
this year at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to
witness the tradition of the rapacious rodent seeing his shadow.
There is talk these days about replacing the real live groundhog
used in these yearly ceremonies with an animatronic robot,
after complaints from handlers that these cute little
creatures are not only capricious in nature, but,
have a set of impressive, razor-sharp claws, not to mention
four chisel-shaped incisors, that can easily gnaw through
gloved fingers as well as roots and other vegetation.
But then again, what can you expect from a sleeping wild critter
snatched up from his cozy underground burrow at the break of dawn
on a cold winter's morning in order to predict the weather?
* A "whistlepig" is an old-fashioned word for groundhog.⛄
Joshua and Caleb discuss the true nature of angels.
"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,
that we should be called the children of God: therefore the world
knoweth us not; because it knew Him not.
Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it doth not yet appear
what we shall be; but we know that when He shall appear, we shall
be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
And every person that hath this hope in Him
purifies themselves, even as He is pure."
(I John 3:1-3)
In her book, "God By Moonlight" Amy Carmichael describes
an atlas moth emerging from its cocoon in the mountain
forests west of Dohnavir, India.
She writes, "It hangs from a twig, like a small brown bag...
and however often we see it we are never prepared for the
miracle that emerges...It has wings of crimson and pink,
and blended green of various soft tones, shading off
into terra-cotta, brown, old gold.
Each wing has a window made of a clear substance,
like a delicate flake of talc, and on the edge of each is a
pattern of wavy lines or dots, or some other dainty device.
From wing-tip to wing-tip, nine, sometimes ten inches of
beauty, one of God's lovely wonders-that is what comes
out of the brown paper bag."
Who would think that such exquisite beauty could come
from a drab brownish-colored cocoon? But a much greater
miracle awaits a child of God!
Encased by these bodies of humiliation, we look for that
day when "the dead will be raised incorruptible, and
we shall be changed." (1 Cor. 15:52)
For now, we live in the "brown bag" of these earthly
bodies, but not forever. One day, perhaps soon, we shall
be made perfect and complete.
Yes, we shall see our Savior face to face, and
wonders of wonders, we shall be like Him."-P.R.V.
"When I shall gaze upon the face of Him
Who died for me, with eye no longer dim,
And praise Him with the everlasting hymn,
I shall be satisfied!"

"Beauty From A Brown Bag"
A devotional from
Our Daily Bread Ministries
"For the Word of God is quick and powerful,
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to
the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, and of the
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the
thoughts and intents of the heart."
(Hebrews 4:12)
"One of the greatest needs in the church today
is to come back to the Scriptures as the basis
of authority, and to study them prayerfully
with dependence on the Holy Spirit
for interpretation.
Let the words of God burn in our souls.
It is when we fill our hearts with His Word
that we overflow into the lives of others."
