First Sunday Meditation: Jesus Full Of Grace And Mercy

"Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw
near to the throne of grace, the throne of God's unmerited favor
to us sinners, that we may receive mercy for our failures and
find grace to help in good time for every need, well-timed help,
coming just when we need it."
Hebrews 4:16

Jesus, full of grace and mercy,

Listen to our humble cry;

From Thy throne above in glory.

Turn on us Thy gracious eye.

We are poor, but Thou art mighty;

Help for souls on Thee is laid:

Come, Thou Jesus! God of mercy,

Bless us in our time of need.

Low we bend' neath sin's dark burden,

But Thy power can make us clean;

Savior, hear us! hear and pardon-

Wash us from all guilt and sin.

Purify our souls and spirits,

Cleanse us in Thy precious blood;

Make us joy and peace inherit,

Saved and blest by Thee our God.
