When Saturday Morning Was All About Watching Cartoons

When I was a kid Saturday mornings were all about getting up
out of bed in time to watch my favorite cartoons while parked in front
of the big RCA television screen in our living room, still in my pajamas,
eating a bowl of "Quisp" or " Cap'n Crunch With Crunch Berries" cereal!

Gone now are those happy times of fun and innocence, when harmless
programs like "Looney Tunes" "The Mighty Heroes" "The Pink Panther"
"Josie and the Pussycats"  "The CBS Children's Film Festival"
"Scooby Doo Where Are You?"  "Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids"
"The Banana Splits" "School House Rock" and  of course,
"The Archies"! ruled the early weekend airwaves in
the America that used to be.

I really miss those good old days!
