Class Poem

Surely these walls where we have been

Will miss us when we go

Though others learn to love each scene

That we have cherished so.

Bright Future For Banking
(1955)
Norman Rockwell

Our class that graduates today

Leaves memories behind

Of young souls, glad in class and play

And clean in heart and mind.

They've seen us passing through the halls

They've watched us hour by hour

They know in these familiar walls

Fine deeds have come to flower.

Youth is a time for high ideals

And now that we are through

This school of ours each teacher feels

The years belong to us, too.

We'll take with us as we go

The splendid thoughts we had

When high school life was glorious

To every lass and lad.

If college is our aim, and we

Hope that it is, take there

The grit to study endlessly

The courage to be fair.

But if another aim also be ours

We pray our goals be high

And ours the fibers which endures

To reach it by and by.

God bless and keep us every one

Fit nobly in His plan

There are fresh glories to be won

Now we'll win them for we can.
