"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
(Psalm 116:15)
"A Cry From Iran" is an award-winning documentary, the true
story of Haik Hovespian, the leader of the evangelical Christian
movement in Iran. At risk to his own life, Haik publicly released
an order of a death sentence for a man named Mehdi Dibaj,
who had been imprisoned for ten years because
he had converted from Islam to Christianity.
Hovespian launched an international campaign in an
effort to bring an end to the civil rights violations of
the Islamic courts in Iran.
Although Dibaj was eventually released, there was a
steep price for Halik Hovespian to pay for his courage
in standing up for religious freedom in his country.
This film, produced by Haik Hovsepian's sons,
contains hidden camera footage filmed in Iran during
the actual events and it is hoped that it will be an
inspiration to all who see it.
