Safely Home

  "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent
 from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
(2 Corinthians 5:8)

"Safely Home"

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever,

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Do you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade

Oh! But Jesus love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread;

And with Jesus' arm to lean on,

Could I have one doubt, dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,

For I love you dearly still:

Try to look beyond earth's shadows

Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth

You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When the work is all completed,

He will gently call you home;

Oh, the rapture of that meeting,

Oh, the joy to see you come!

A Glorious Reunion

On the evening of June 25th, enveloped by the love of her family and prayers
of so many, Iris passed into eternal Glory reunited with Les once again.

Her early struggles with diabetes and kidney failure ended when the Lord,
 in all His wonderful Grace, took her home at the age of 91.

She spent her life serving her Lord, Les, her family and the countless
thousands around the country with whom she fellowshipped regularly.

The Lord ministered His grace and love to others through her hands,
feet, and sweet words.  Her kindness, thoughtfulness and concern
for others was always evident.

We remember her wisdom in these words:
 "The Lord is in the details" and "God always has a plan".

My thoughts and prayers are with the Feldick family.
May God comfort you with His strength and His peace
in the loss of your mother.
