Today marks the 5th anniversary of the death of my father, Anthony Brida.
While I miss him very much, as the above scriptures attests, I have the sure
promise that I will one day see him again in heaven.
My father loved to listen to country music. He always said that the legendary
George Jones (1931-2013) was the greatest country singer, not only of his generation,
but of all time. Like my Dad, George accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior
later in life. I like to think that maybe Dad met George the night he went to heaven.
"He Stopped Loving Her Today" was undoubtedly George Jones' signature song, and
is sung here in a beautiful tribute by two other sensational country gentlemen singers,
Alan Jackson and George Strait. This one's for you too, Daddy. I love you!💖
