Founder of Turning Point USA
In yet another act of senseless evil in the public square this week, Charlie Kirk,
founder of Turning Point USA, was shot while on stage at Utah Valley University
this afternoon during a TPUSA event known as, "The American Comeback Tour".
He later died from a gunshot wound to the neck. May he rest in eternal peace.
In honor of Charlie Kirk, President Trump has ordered all United States
flags to be flown at half-mast at the White House and at all public buildings
and grounds, military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels
of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the
United States and its territories and possessions
until sunset Sunday September 14, 2025.
My heart and prayers are with Charlie's wife Erica, their two children,
his parents, and members of the Kirk family.
May God comfort them in this time of immeasurable sorrow and loss.
