"Blessed is the match consumed in kindling flame,
Blessed is the flame that burns in the secret fastness of the heart.
Blessed is the heart with strength to stop its beating for honor's sake,
Blessed is the match consumed in kindling flame.

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) reports that thirteen people
have died and nearly thirty were wounded after two gunmen opened fire
during a Hanukkah event today at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.
The police are calling the incident a terrorist attack.
Meanwhile, two US service members and a civilian interpreter were killed
in central Syria on Saturday after a lone gunman, believed to be connected
to ISIS, opened fire at a US military base near the ancient city of Palmyra.
Three other US soldiers were also injured in the attack.
I pray that those wounded in the Bondi Beach attack and our soldiers
injured in the attack in Syria will make a full and speedy recovery.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones
in these latest acts of senseless evil. May God comfort them with His love
and give them His strength in this time of immense sorrow and loss.
