When Ancient Stones Speak

According to a recent report from CBN,  the Christian Broadcasting Network,
Israeli archaeologists have given new life to an ancient stone room
which is traditionally believed to be the site of Jesus' Last Supper.

The Last Supper Room, also called the Cenaculum, which is
located in Jerusalem, Israel is said to be the hall where Jesus shared
a final meal with his disciples on the night before His crucifixion.

Located on Mt. Zion in Jerusalem, the worn quality of the walls, not
to mention the poor lighting inside the ancient structure also known as the
the Cenacle,  has made historical research there difficult in the past.
.
However, with the help of European researchers, archaeologists
from Israel's Antiquities Authority have recently developed laser technology
and advanced photography methods in order to create stunningly detailed,
three-dimensional models to reveal the secrets hidden over the
centuries within these ancient walls.

According to Israeli archaeologist Amit Re'em, "We managed to reach
every corner of the building. We managed to create 3D models of this
wonderful and sacred place."

The technology used in this project has helped not only to uncover
old art work,  but, has been further used to decipher religious symbols.
Amit Re'em said researchers have found the symbols, "Lion of Judah"
and "Agnus Dei" which means, "Lamb of God" within the walls.

"It tells the story of this room," said Re'em.  "It delivers a message
of the Last Supper Room, Christ as a Messiah, as victorious, as a
victim, and the lion, the lion is a symbol of the Davidic dynasty.
They combine together in this room."

Oh, the wonders of 21st century technology!

"The Stones Started To Speak To Us"
-Amit Re'em

"Hearken to Me, you who follow after rightness
and justice, you who seek and inquire of and require
the Lord, claiming Him by necessity and by right:
look to the rock from which you were hewn, and
to the hole in the quarry from which you were dug."
Isaiah 51:1

Shabbat Shalom Eretz Israel!
