"When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when He divided the sons
of man, He set boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God."
(Deuteronomy 32:8 )
On this week before Thanksgiving, I am certain this patriotic anthem,
made famous by the great Kate Smith, resonates deeply with the feelings
of many of my fellow citizens in our nation today. Especially those of us
who are old enough to remember the America that used to be.
Hearing this glorious tribute- which became popular as World War II was
raging across Europe and in the Pacific- keeps hope alive in my heart, as I am
sure it did for the people back then. That despite all the uncertainty and dangers
we our facing today, God will hear and answer the prayers of His children
across this land, and will, as in the past, deliver us from the forces of
human and spiritual wickedness determine to destroy us.
What has made America strong is not her economic strength, politics,
or military might. What made us into the most powerful, the most
admired, and most envied nation on the face of the earth, can be
credited to those who came before us, who not only fought courageously
to keep us a free and independent people, but knew that our continued
existence as a nation depended solely on the amazing grace and
mercy of Almighty God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The true American patriot has always been, first and foremost, a prayer warrior.
May God Continue To Bless The United States Of America.
