Who Will Be The Elijahs Of This Present Generation?

 

 

"Then Elijah approached all the people and said, "How long will you waver between
two opinions?  If the LORD is God follow Him.  But if Baal is God, follow him.
But the people did not answer a word."

Who will be the Elijahs of this present generation?

 

 The creation of the nation which would one day become the United States of America
mirrors the biblical history of Israel.  Like God leading the Hebrews out of slavery in Egypt, 
 the Holy Spirit led our pilgrim forefathers and mothers across the stormy Atlantic to a
new land and home where they could worship the Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and truth.

When forming our national government, our founders were inspired by the
 unshakable faith of these first settlers in our land and the freedom won in
the Revolutionary War, which they knew would not have happened without
the divine intervention of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, without
the amazing grace and abundant mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. 
They founded our nation on God's Word.

Today America stands at the cusp of her 250th year as a nation.  Will this be the
very last birthday this nation will see?  As the shadow of evil rises across our land
and our enemies are eagerly anticipating their triumph over us, who will stand up
for Jesus today?  Who will reclaim America for His glory?

A prophetic voice from the past speaks to the present in this powerful message
from Reverend Peter Marshall Sr. (1902-1949) a Scots-American preacher,
twice-appointed Chaplain of the United States Senate.  While I have posted
this in the past, given the dire circumstances our nation is facing today,
I feel it is of vital importance to post this message again.
