Originally aired on February 7th and February 14th, 1971 this rare
and nostalgic presentation from The Wonderful World of Disney involves
the search for a sunken silver bell by teenager Jeannot Boudreau (Mitch Vogel)
and his young cousin, Claude (Mike Lookinland) which leads them
into the dangerous backwoods and swamps of Louisiana.
The bell, which was crafted by Jeannot's late father, was lost during
a severe hurricane and rests at the bottom of a murky lagoon,
which is also the home of a giant, man-eating alligator.
This engaging drama also stars veteran television stars Frank Silvera
as Uncle Maxim, Jeanette Nolan as Tante Louise, John McIntire as
Father Boudreau, Vito Scotti as Mr. Bob, Percy Rodrigues as Charbot,
and Michael Ontkean as Alcide.
