7.2 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Haiti

The island nation of Haiti was hit with a 7.2 magnitude
earthquake yesterday.  At least 227 people have been
killed and many hundreds have been injured or are missing.
The epicenter of the quake was about 78 miles west of the
capital of Port-au-Prince, according to the U.S. Geological Survey,
and widespread damage has been reported.  The quake was
felt as far away as Cuba and Jamaica, although there
were no reports of any deaths or injuries or
damage to buildings in these countries.

Please pray for the people of Haiti and all the island nations
surrounding them as there is a viable threat of a tsunami in the area
as well as from approaching Tropical Storm Grace, which is
predicted to strengthen as she approaches Hispaniola,
bringing heavy rainfall and flooding in her wake.
