From the golden age of classic American country western music,
Tom T. Hall, who died yesterday at his home in Franklin, Tennessee
at the age of 85, rose to fame as a songwriter, singer, instrumentalist,
novelist, and short story writer.
But he will be best remembered as "The Storyteller"
a singing narrator of traditional country ballads.
I remember when I was going to high school I would
often listen to a country music station on my clock
radio at night as I drifted off to sleep.
Tom T. Hall's beautiful "I Love" has always been
one of my favorite songs to dream by.
God bless you, Mr. Hall. May you rest in peace.
