Tuesday's Thoughts: Being Led Like Sheep To The Slaughter?

"It's better to be alone than in bad company.  If freedom of speech is taken away,
then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter."
-George Washington

In most states, the defacement and/ or vandalism of a statue whether on
public or private property is considered an act of criminal mischief and is
a felony under the law, punishable by fines and imprisonment or both.

I hope that this same criminal violation will apply to those individuals on
the "occupied" campus of George Washington University in Washington DC
who are responsible for the recent vile attack on a statue of the school's namesake.

According to media reports, a gang of "Pro-Palestine" protesters desecrated
the monument by draping the statue with a Palestinian flag and wrapping
a black and white keffiyeh head scarf around Washington's neck. They plastered
his body with stickers declaring various slogans like, "End The Genocide,
Free Palestine", "The Students United Will Never Be Divided" and
"Anti-Fascist Action".  Someone also painted across the granite
base and the plaque of the statue the words:
"Genocidal Warmongering University".

White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates recently stated that while
the Biden Administration is "monitoring these (occupied campus)) situations
closely," the president supports "every American's right to peacefully protest."

While I too support the American peoples' right to peacefully protest,
this attack on the statute of George Washington is a grave offense.
It is the cruel work of ignorant cowards with no real love or respect
for this country and for whatever reasons have chosen to break the
law for the "sake of the cause" of the Far Left and Islamic groups
instigating behind the scenes of these increasingly violent protests,
whose ultimate goal is to destroy the United States of America from within.

Like the statue vandalizations and smashing of Revolutionary and Civil War
monuments only a few years ago, these clandestine forces seek to purge from
the national conscience, not only great American heroes like our first
leader, George Washington, who reluctantly, but successfully led the
Continental Army to victory during the Revolutionary War, thus
scoring our freedom from British tyranny, but to permanently
 erase America's rich Judeo-Christian heritage.

Unlike our Founding Fathers, many of whom put their very lives
on the line for the cause of freedom, most of these young people
storming across campuses nationwide are clueless when it
comes to understanding the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights,
or true American History.  And what's more, they seem not care.
This is just what our enemies are counting on.

What is happening in America today is a travesty of justice,
and a sore lack of responsible leadership, not only in government,
but in the higher echelons of academia.  It seems too many university
and college presidents and administrations have allowed themselves
to be bought and sold to the highest bidder. They have become
willing hostages with their hands tied behind their backs,
for the cause of "social justice"  and for the love of money.

Meanwhile, what they and the student "occupiers" exercising
their "right to peacefully protest" fail to realize, in their blind
support for non-existent Palestine, and especially for Hamas,
is that the same monsters who viciously murdered innocent
men, women, and children last fall in southern Israel, are the
same monsters who are planning to come for them tomorrow.
